Ward----not Sears.

You probably won't find a manual for the "Western Field". Just download one from the Mossberg
site for a Mossberg 500.

"It has the serial number C26406"

This is for Mossberg 500, but I would assume the years would be the same. 1971. I have a M550 ARB with G272xxx that I know my uncle bought new sometime in the 70s. Using the Mossberg 500 serial number dates, it places it in 1973. So that's what I'm going with.

I am interested in finding out the year that my Western Field 550 ABR was made.

It has the serial number C26406 (if that helps)

It has a really nice wood stock. It has that "wavy" look to the grain that is so cool.

I can't find a manual or much information online. I know that it is the "Sears" version of a Mossberg 500.

Any information is a big help!

Go off Mossberg 500 SNs, it should be a 1971
