After who knows how many hours of youtube gun videos, I was about to go, and try before I buy , Glock 43X , Glock 26 Gen 4, or Sig P365. I came to conclusion, these 3 , will be perfect CC for me.
These are the prices at my local gun store
1. Glock 43X - $449
2. Glock 26 Gen 4 - $499
3. Sig Sauer P365 - $499
But, on the store web site, I've noticed that Walther PPS M2 LE Edition is going on sale for $299.
Moneywise it would be no brainer, that the Walther should be my first choice, but I asked myself, if its such a good gun, why is on sale from $479 to $299?
Its a huge discount. I doubt I will ever see a brand new 9 mm Glock for or a Sig for $299.
I already have a Walther P22, and I'm not satisfied with it.
I'm tempted by the price difference, but does it worth to go cheap on a CC gun?

Never owned a Walther, but shot a few, probably unlikely I would purchase one. Don't care much for Glocks personally, no intention of ever owning one. I like the P365...spent the first three months I owned mine shooting every sort of 9mm ammo (except steel case) working to see if I could get it to malfunction while I got used to the gun. Great pistol; no malfunctions!
No, it is not a great idea to go cheap on a gun your life may depend on. (My opinion)

I decided to go with Glock 43X, but its out of stock at LGS. It just disappeared from the shelfs. There are some Glocks 48 left, and if 43X doesn't be restocked soon, I will go for it.
The salesman at the LGS, told me that Sig 365 is a great gun, but they are not reliable as much as the Glocks. The 365 had some recalls already, so I will pass.

You really need to find a new LGS, because the one you're going to employs idiots.

Recommending one brand is one thing; denigrating their competition is bad salesmanship. Like negative political ads; don't tell me how bad the other guy is, tell me why you're so much better.

OP, you really need to SHOOT them all to see which one you like. I own Glocks, Kahr, S&W and the SIG 365, for ME the 365 with the 12 round mag fits in MY hand great. All of those are reliable and great guns, so find what works best for your hand

It did not sound like he denigrated the brand, but pointed out that the P365 had some issues early on. That is true, not denigrating. Personally I like my P365 a lot, but I know there were some early problems; mine runs flawlessly! I actually respect one who is willing to speak truthfully as a salesperson instead of buttering up to make any sale as quick as possible; has some integrity even if I disagree with his position.

only one i am familiar with is the glock 26........i like the way they shoot and feel and was reliable. Has a long and decent track record.........

but being curious, i would definately fondle and try some range rental time with the others.

price is important to a degree for me........but i try within reason to choose the gun i want....i have come across some low-end and medium to high-end guns that i just had to have....and on occasion the "on sale!!!" price finally decided the issue for me. But it also has snake-bit me before ending up owning a gun that that just did not fit me or meet my expectations......be it a cheap gun or expensive one.....

i am weird that way......i have to be 99 percent content with my guns......and i naturally let that one percent remain as a free agent because i am going to keep looking at the menu regardless if i am happy with a gun.

simply an excuse to buy another gun on my part i suspect........i have been on the road to Shangri-La for decades looking for that final one percent......hope i never find it as the road trip is fun.....:cornut:

After 3+ weeks, of waiting for Glock 43X to be restocked at my LGS, I gave up, and yesterday I got Glock 48. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm the grip, is not the best. Its kind of, just OK. I tried Glock 19 Gen 4, and it felt better in hand, but I already had this one or 43X premeditated , and I got it. I do not like to return staff once I buy it, but the more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that I made a mistake.
