I wrote about 10 emails and made 5-6 calls over the course of 5 weeks to find out when my alloy SCAR 17s lower receiver would ship. I also wanted to know if they had received any stripped upper receivers; if not if they had any idea when they would. After getting no response from any of my calls or emails, I began to wonder if the company was even legit, or if they had gone out of business.

Finally, the other day, I disputed the charge with my bank and sent and email about it to them. What do you know, I got a response. Here is the F-U letter they sent me:

Prior to placing your item in the cart and completing your order, the item was clearly marked with a 4-5 week lead time. Until that time lapses, there is no justification to send emails asking for status unless you failed to notice the lead time associated with the SEAL modules. Since you have disputed the charge and caused our company to incur needless chargeback fees while having your order in queue and removing product from inventory that would otherwise be sold to other customers, we will take approbate action, cancel your order and terminate your account.

Tomorrow would have been 5 weeks from the date you placed your order.

Customer communication is very important and businesses shouldn't blow-off customers. Clearly, they have no respect and don't feel the need to respond to anyone, even if the have received money from them. I would avoid doing business with this company!

I don't blame you. However, there are many complaints about them posted on the internet, which I found after I posted this. Furthermore, I have never felt the need to post anything prior to this interaction, due to most of my gun questions and the answers having been dealt with by someone else. Say what you will, but I am trying to save my fellow Americans any future losses or heartache.

That being said, it doesn't really matter what you think, until you have tried to do business with them.

Ahh, sonny. It definitely matters what he thinks and especially on this posting board. Ya see? He's a board moderator here.

It seems to me that you placed an order for an item containing an lead time tag of 4 to 5 weeks. That means the ordered item does not yet exist and will not exist for a month or longer. That also means the item is in high demand and the company is probably working overtime to fill back orders.

I wrote about 10 emails and made 5-6 calls over the course of 5 weeks to find out when my alloy SCAR 17s lower receiver would ship.
Damn, boy! They told you when it would ship when you ordered it. Your above quoted actions can best be described as harassment. Then you went and cost the company money. Now you want us to take your baseless complaints seriously? I think not!

Ignorance seems to fit best here.

Oh yeah, I'm a board moderator here as well.

Whatever, delete it if you want. It's not like I am trying to hurt anyone. My job is to save people's lives and save heartache. That's what I do for a living. And don't call me "sonny." Furthermore, it's not cool to act like a troll.

As for the post, I stand by my words. Look them up on Google and the complaints from other gun owners if you don't believe me. Seriously though, what difference does it make what any of you think, if you haven't tried to do business with them. Think about that for a moment before you get your feeling hurt and act like a socialist.

As moderators, one of our jobs is to sniff out BS and expose it as such.

Sonny. I'm a 70 year old retired gunsmith. I've done business with Stryker in the past and have found them to be a very good company that stands by their products. They also have a good customer service/sales department that responds quickly to legitimate questions and problems.

Save lives and heartache?? By posting a childish rant about not being catered to and receiving instant gratification? HAH! And you have the temerity to toss about the troll word.

As to "sonny". If you act as a child, expect to be treated like a child.

Look them up on Google and read other whines posted by attention seeking children? I think not!

The only hurt feelings I note on this thread are yours and those hurt feelings are the reason for your starting this thread.

Socialist? Perform an attitude adjustment on yourself or your time here will be extremely limited.

Like I said, I don't disagree that there are lead times. Nonetheless, I called and emailed about other topics, such as if they intended to receive any SCAR 17 uppers anytime soon. All emails and calls went without ANY response. I began to wonder if they went out of business after Obama's new law on gun manufacturers. I had 30 days to file a dispute with VISA. All of this could have been avoided with just one quick call or email that said, "We're working on it." Instead, I get an F-U letter after I disputed it and a statement that they don't feel obligated to respond to customers.

I'm not a moderator, nor do I play one on TV ......... however I do know that firearm, gun parts and ammunition manufacturers and suppliers have been working there backsides off due, to the extremely high demand created ever since Obola (Obama) came to power and wanted to restrict (ban) gun ownership and sales. The demand has increased even more since Cankles (Hillary) became the Democrat nominee for POTUS and plans to continue Obola's unconstitutional push to restrict gun ownership and sales. If you think five weeks is a long time to wait, I waited three months for a rifle stock and eight weeks for ammo. In this day and age, five weeks of waiting for a gun part is a walk in the park. Patience is something you had better learn, otherwise the aggravation will only give you ulcers.

well.........if they clearly put in print they are five weeks behind then i would take that as gospel........

if they had stripped uppers they would most likely be up on their site...............they can't sell the product if they don't put it up there and show availability. Was there lag time posted on those as well?

i again will blame al gore since he invented the internet........folks are too accustomed to instant gratification and demand instant results and answers when all one has to do is read the fine print on delays and check the inventory page yourself to see if something has come in....and wait your turn and get in line......

i would suggest checking the inventory on the sites ahead of time if you are in a hurry and can't wait.

otherwise, you knowingly ordered a product that was clearly stated that was roughly 5 weeks behind.......and inquired apparently about a product that was not even in stock.

I am neither a moderator, nor a Stryker customer. Your entire series of exchanges smacks of someone who has wandered out of their safe space and discovered that world really isn't all about you and (gasp) doesn't even care that you exist.

Relax, chill out, and get a life.

And try to realize, or at least anticipate, that unlike the "campus", there are very few "Safe Spaces" on firearm forums, especially for ill-mannered first timers.

I'm just not sensing "the luv, the tolerance". Where's James Taylor to smooth the troubled waters?

James Taylor likely wouldn't last long around here either.

Department of Veterans Affairs

Ain't the internet a wonderful thing?
