I wonder if Winchester/Browning will ever produce the old model 94s again.

It appears that they just wanted to dump the expensive facilities and get out from under the union contracts in the old Conn plant. I would not be surprised to see new lever guns being produced by Japan or another inexpensive mfg in a foreign country with the Winchester name.

Maybe it is happening already, I don't know but look for them to pop up again.

Your thoughts?

they are planning to but they will be produced in japan.

I guess they are just allowing the dust to settle after closing the plants. The employees tried hard to find a financial backer to keep the plant open but it looks like that did not work out for them.

A sad tale in many of the manufacturing plants across our great nation. Moving south of the border or over to China to take advantage of labor rates that run from $.60 to $3 an hour. Hard to live on that kind of money in the US.
