One of the largest sellers of 30-30s in history this model came in many calibers. Originally in 32-40 and 38-55 Ballard cartridges. Later in 30-30, 32 winchester special, 25-36 marlin, Barrel lengths of 20-32 inches were produced over its lifetime. The last of the model 1893s were mfg in 1935.

The takedown version was developed for hunters who traveled to get to their hunting fields. The 32 Winchester Special was one of the calibers utilized in the takedown model. The 32 special used a 170gr bullet and sent it downrange at 2198 fps.

Anyone come across one of these gems in their travels?
