So I'm trying to find an affordable red dot that I can put on my S&W M&P15 Sport. I am really leaning toward the Vortex Sparc II, but I wanted other suggestions before the purchase. Any other better options for under $250?

A friend of mine (he is a member here) has a Vortex Sparc, it's a very good dot for the money.

I have multiple red dots and holographic sights, vortex does make some good stuff for the money, but if I were you I would save for an aimpoint or an eotech.

Only problem is I don't wanna drop over $500 on a sight you know?

I know what you mean, a votec was my first optic and I still have it today and it works fine.
