Sounds like you have a few firearms to start; I would suggest spending some range time with what you have and some book/web time learning more so you can make a purchase based on what you have experienced and learned instead of seeking someone else's opinion. Just a thought...I just got some of the guns my grampa didn't sell before he died... A beretta m34, .22 pistol, .22 rifle, rem 700 7x57 mauser, and a ruger .357 mag.
Thanks man and that's something I really wish my grandpa didn't do, he sold all his shotguns because he didn't like bird hunting because he thought it was unfair and unethical.neither......but that is me........
from your list what is missing is a shotgun.....every gun collection needs a shotgun.....or two or three........
do not fall into the panic of getting a black rifle or a large capacity handgun due to the media and political rhetoric....take care of needs first.....then the "wants". the black rifles and large capacity handguns will still be there a couple of years from now.....
you are blessed to have inherited some guns......
Ya, unfortunately, I broke my wrist snowboarding just a couple days ago and I obviously can't go to the range for 6 more weeks but I kinda want to get an AR just for the customizability because all the rifles I have are older style hunting rifles and I kinda want to get a newer rifle..Sounds like you have a few firearms to start; I would suggest spending some range time with what you have and some book/web time learning more so you can make a purchase based on what you have experienced and learned instead of seeking someone else's opinion. Just a thought...
I understand I think I'm going for the AR for the same reasons I told AgedWarrior. The two guns you mention are so very different it is hard to compare them. What is your intended purpose for the gun? That would help answer your question. My immediate thought is I wouldn't buy anything from Glock but that is just my opinion. There are millions of happy Glock owners out there. I personally don't like them.
