Interesting quote from:
Alexander Fraser Tytler Lord Woodhouselee 1747-1813
Scottish lawyer and historian says studying the history of great civilizations they seem to run in cycles of 200 years over and over again.
What period in that 200 year cycle do you think we are in given we are 243 years old.
Explains a lot.

A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.
The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:
  • From bondage to spiritual faith;
  • From spiritual faith to great courage;
  • From courage to liberty;
  • From liberty to abundance;
  • From abundance to complacency;
  • From complacency to apathy;
  • From apathy to dependence;
  • From dependence back into bondage.

The ancient Greeks invented democracy, ancient Rome started as as Democracy, after a while, due to the ambition of some very powerful individuals, Rome became a Empire and a dictatorship. The USA started as a Republic based in Democracy, we are a a point in time were they are forces that are trying to turned into a extreme left Socialist "Utopia" which will end in the slaving of its citizens.
We have to be very careful if we want to prevent the destruction of the USA Republic by the evil forces of Socialist DemnocRATS.

We are not a Democracy. Democracies are tantamount to mob rule. Jefferson is often misquoted as saying that but, if he had, he'd be essentially right. He realized that Constitutional Republics (which we are) are far more likely to be durable than "pure democracies". Anyway, I guess that shows where I stand.

Can America be the first country in the history of civilization to not go through this cycle?
No, this country is done and it will need a second Civil War to cause a rebirth like the Phoenix; but even if it does get reborn, it will NEVER be anything like we had even 20-30 years ago.

We're definitely on the verge of dependency into bondage. The next couple of elections are going to put us over the edge if we don't restore conservatism to the Republican Party.

We've already been through that cycle a number of times.

No, the leftists in power are not idiots (AOC aside). Bloomberg, Soros, and all the rest are very smart. They have been planning this for a LONG time and their earlier efforts since taking over public education in the 60s is finally paying off. The US would never be conquered from without, but it was always going to be conquered from within.

We were in considerably worse shape from 1855 through 1865.
