I want to recognize and thank every one of you gentlemen.
It was not the poet that gave us freedom of speech... It was the soldier.
It was not the news paper editor that gave us freedom of the press... It was the soldier
It was not the preacher that gave us freedom of religion... It was the soldier.
Tomorrow morning 98% of Americans will wake up and enjoy their freedom.
They will speak out against what they do not like and they will speak out in favor of what they do like and they will do so with out fear of being arrested for their opinions.
They will read Newsweek, Time, The Washington Post, Hustler. They will watch CNN, Fox, MSNBC. They will browse the web reading what they will and no one will stop them from reading ideas.
They will Pray, or not Pray as their own moral conscious dictates to them. They will decide for themselves. And live with out fear of their decision.
98% of Americans will wake up tomorrow and enjoy Freedom... Because 2% of Americans will wake up and defend it with their lives.
It is sad that we do not have an expression of gratitude above a simple thank you. For some things saying thank you is just inadequate. It needs more power, more feeling, more impact. But, the reality is that sometimes saying thank you is all that we have. So... To everyone that serves or served... Thank You.
