I put this in the General Gun Discussion forum because it gets more volume than the legal forum.

H.R. 4900 was a bill introduced in January by Reps. Steve King (R-Iowa) and Zack Space (D-Ohio). This bill is designed to put a stop to BATFE abuses, ie the elimination of FFL's due to minor paperwork infractions. Plus its designed to clarify "Willful" violations and what constitutes the mfg of firearms completed by an FFL or Gunsmith. Thats an oversimplification of the bill since it has 15 or more other significant changes in mind.

Any members have any idea about its status??

The NRA requests that you call the U.S. House today at (202)224-3121 and ask your representative to cosponsor H.R. 4900.

Agreed.

I have a DVD from JPFO of thay guy who was crucified because his gun would occassionally double-tap 'full auto' on it's own.

They had the ATF agent and the guy's attorney in a field trying various types of ammo. The ATF guy got it to malfunction 1 out of about 20 times.

After they took it back inside and dissasembled it, turns out that a spring was broken. Could have been bad news for whoever was shooting it.

These idiots need to be brought under control.

You can't make up the law as you go along depending upon what you wish to prosecute someone for on a whimsical basis.
