First one for me was a Ruger MKII when I was around 9-10 years old. I still own it, its a great little pistol.

An old S&W 38 short, belonged to my dad. It was probably mfg in the 30's. It was stolen out of his hotel room and he replaced it with a Charter .38 snubbie.
The first handgun I bought was a S&W Chief's Special in 1963. Pinned and recessed. Paid $50 for it and they threw in a box of ammo.

1911, age six or seven.
one shot at a time.
each time the pistol flew over my head caught by my dad
who then loaded it and placed it in my hand and cocked the hammer.
this game of catch only lasted several rounds.....
