Oh...I guess it must have been...

The 3:10 TO YUMA

I just saw it and it was a pretty good western.

I seem to recall that this is a re-make of an earlier version of maybe the late '50s - maybe starring Glenn Ford ??

I may be confusing it with Bad Day at Black Rock - another great.

I'm gonna try to rent the older one.

This was well worth seeing.

Thanks Doug - we started out to see it and ended up heading
over to the beach with some friends instead. I guess we'll see
it tomorrow. Thanks for the tip - Roper liked it and we pretty
much think alike.

Its on my list too. I love the westerns! My wife does not really care for them or the "Star Wars" type of movies, but I am subtly retraining her. Playing the secret tapes at night, "You love westerns, you love science fiction movies." Only time will tell if it is working. ;)

Westerns rock!!!
I especially like the old "spaghetti-westerns" with Clint Eastwood - "Good, Bad and the Ugly" has to be one of my faves!

One of the newer ones which was awesome was "Purgatory" with Sam Shepard, and "Open Range" with Robert Duvall. I could go on all day.............

"Open Range" is one of the top five in my opinion, right up there with "Unforgiven", and "Silverado".

I also love "Rio Lobo" - mostly because of the great cast.

What are YOUR "TOP FIVE", all time great Westerns ??

"Purgatory" was one I really didn't care for.
