I own 2 both Winchester 94. One rifle in 30-30 and one Trapper carbine in 45 Colt. That little Trapper is one really great Javalina rifle for working in the washes and brush. I use a 230XTP; drops those Javalina like a rock. I don;t use the 30-30 much anymore. It use to be my main deer gun. But since moving to Arizona, deer require something with a bit more reach. If I ever get up north into the denser forested mountains for deer, I would take that one.

well i've got 2 model 71 winchester standard rifles. 1 is long tang and mint, the other is short tang and excellent.
2 pre 64 30-30's. 1 made in 1958, the other made in 1952? both in very good condition.
1 model 1894 saddle ring carbine 3/4 length magazine made in 1916 30-30 in very good condition.
1 winchester model 88 in 284 cal. excellent condition.
1 winchester 9422 excellent condition.
1 winchester 9422 high grade unfired.
1 savage model 99 in 308 cal. excellent condition.
That's all I can think of.
In my eyes, the lever action may be the most graceful looking rifle that has ever been made.

Just the Marlins in .357 Mag., .41 Mag, and .45 Colt. I'd love to get a Win. 94-22 someday. My very first gun was an Ithaca "Saddlegun" tube feed .22 LR when I was about 12-13.

I have the Marlin 336 AS in 30-30 and the Marlin Guide Gun in 450 marlin.

At one time I had the marlin 444, marlin 44 mag and the winchester 30-30. Had to sell them when I had a financial hickup in the 1980's.

Yes it is a beauty. the thing will drive nails at 100 yards. And I picked it up from a guy that decided to give up hunting for $300.00 . Or should I say I stole it from him.

Thats a darn nice collection of marlins that you have there.

What do you think of the Rossi? How does it compare to the Marlins quality?

over all pretty close , the action is totally different because of the way the 92's lock up , woods not quite as nice on the Rossi but who cares its just a real fun gun to have

Only 2 for now-a Marlin Golden 39M and a Henry Golden Boy. Very soon going to add a Henry Big boy in .44 mag. If it matters to you, Henrys are 100% American made from 100% American parts! Almost unheard of nowdays, and the price is right. Check out their website-impressive.

I think the Henry's are nice looking rifles and am starting to see more and more of them around. I do like the fact they are US made, but its not a tie breaker for me personally. I think Henry is now making some additional calibers too, maybe 45 LC! Not Sure!

I own 1) a pre 64 Winchester 94 in .30-30
2) A "big bore" model 94 in .307 caliber which shoots circles around any of my .30-30's (I guess having a barrel twice a thick helps) hard to find ammo though , I usually order it by the case now
3) A marlin 30as in .30-30, my favorite to carry
4) A savage 99 in .308 that my friend GAVE me, when I helped him out in a pinch
5) A browning BL22 which I bought off a cop for 100 bucks (new in box) A girl showed up at the station and said her boyfriend ran off with another woman 6 months ago, and this was sitting in her closet, she didnt have a licence to own a gun so she thought she might as well turn it in to the police to cut in half. He said she was crazy and told her to sell it instead. She said "make me an offer" and he said 100 bucks. SOLD!! he only bought it to save it from getting chopped and sold it to me for what he paid. (he is a real lover of all guns)
6) finally a Henry big boy brass .44 magnum. I dislike this one the most as I dont like handgun bullets in a rifle. Bought it on a whim and regret it now. Will probably trade it for something in my buddies gun locker

I have three Marlin 39A's, one Marlin 1897 Cowboy with an octagonal barrel, a Marlin 1894 octagonal barrel in 44 mag, a Win 94 Classic w/ octagonal barrel, and a pre 64 Win 94 carbine.

All of them are lots of fun to shoot.
