This… Commander-sized 1911 in 9mm… this Ed Brown FX2 (stock pic below… I carried mine in a kydex IWB and not with ball ammo

Back in the 80's i carried a SBH 7.5 inch. Not really concealable. Now i carry a Taurus spectrum and pt11. In the woods i carry a 1911 10mm and my SBH. But open for faster draw.

A full sized 1911, but that was years ago and it became too uncomfortable to lug around all the time. So I down sized and haven't looked back.

For winter carry, an XDM40 full size grip with 3.8” barrel ISB @ 4 o’clock.

If you’re carrying it in the woods for protection, nothing wrong with it. If you’re carrying in public for protection, then you clearly don’t give a rats ass about anyone but yourself. So which is it?
Really? We now have the carry police. I thought that was the liberal's duty to challenge 2A.

No one is challenging the 2A. Just arrogant, irresponsible gun owners that have no regard for innocent bystanders. There is no load you are going to shoot through that gun that won’t blow clean through the attacker and any person who may be beyond the attacker. There is no excuse for that kind of recklessness. I have zero respect for people that do that dumb **** and zero problem calling it out when I see it. Don’t like it, don’t do dumb ****.

Yes, you can ask it in a different way however, would you have the same question if; it was a 44-mag single six with 6" barrel or a desert eagle 50AE, a 460 S&W Magnum, a .480 Ruger, a Ruger 454 casual or a S&W .500 revolver with 4" barrel? In the original post I was also caring a Kimber micro 9mm in my pocket at all times. Does it really matter what anyone carries or why? I do not carry it very often but when I do, I typically carry to and from hunting, to and from target practice or sometimes it is just because I want to. For one it is a very intimating gun I know a guy who carries the same model in 45/70 for the same reasons. You should see it in a western rig with a 25-round belt.

You do not even know me, or my capability and have made assumptions that are just theorized based on preconceived notions without fact or basis. With the same thought process, you have provided than all so called assault weapons should be banned. NOT!

I don't need to know you or your capabilities, I know that cartridge like the back of my hand and what it is capable of, along with every other cartridge you listed off above. Irresponsibility is irresponsibility. I did not actually accuse you of anything. I just answered your question. If you don't believe that, go back and read my responses again. You asked a smartass question and got a response you deserved. I posted a 1 word question in response to your post, "Why?". There is no nicer way to ask that.
You are not the first person to come onto this board and boast about CCWing a 500 mag, you certainly won't be the last. If you had any "capabilities" whatsoever, you'd know better than to draw a gun like that in a public place. Having said that, I don't believe anyone carries a gun CCW that they would never pull. Not you or anyone else. Not even if its easily accessible while a less lethal option is tucked away in a hard to get to place, like your pocket. That tells me the easy to access is the primary weapon. The entire purpose of CCW is so that you have it if needed.
I asked, you answered. You asked, I answered. I didn't accuse you of anything. We can drop it here or make a big deal out of it, your call.
