What guns did you "almost" take home today?

I stopped at my favorite LGS (to pick up proceeds from the consignment sale of a M16A1 I had built)... And "almost" brought these three home but I stifled the impulse! (Which is unusual for me)

A H&R top-break Model 925 .38spl top break from sometime 1964-72. I had never seen one before nor heard of this model. Was in great shape, priced at $225 and looked just like this
Air gun Wood Gun barrel Wood stain Everyday carry

A Bersa BP9CC. This gun has a great trigger and reset and is thin and easy to carry (I had one before and sold it). Priced right at $220 it was the FDE model. It looked like this one.

A novelty gun priced at $300... The lifeguard .22lr credit card size (but thicker) single shot

I didn't being any of them home... But came close!

What guns did you "almost" acquire recently, but didn't?

Nothing. I'm very happy with what I have and arguably have too many. I know that second sentence is a bad thing to type on any gun forum.

I just suck it up and ignore the garbage stamped or cut in my Ruger barrels. Otherwise, they're good guns that I have and want.

Came really close to buying a Springfield Garrison. After all, everyone needs another 1911…right? May have to go and see if it follows me home Monday morning…😏
AW, you NEED this gun, you WANT this gun, you would be HAPPY to own this gun, it's there waiting on you. What time does the store open Monday? Let us know how you like it ;)

I never thought I'd say it but I have all I want right now. The last one was a CZ Shadow 2 so I have plenty of challenge.

Since you've "almost" brought home a lot of guns, how many have you "brought" home? :)
No joy, I was outbid (and I do have limits, contrary to what my lovely wife says)

It's up to $635 and when I add 7% state tax, 1% compliance fee, $25 shipping and my LGS transfer fee of $20... My cost would be $100 more... So $740 or so is over my limit for this gun... As much as I really like it :(
Don't feel bad, seriously. Some people have more money than you and money takes on a different meaning, some people aren't as smart as you, and some people are willing to carry more debt than you. Why do some people carry tens of thousands on credit card debt then high bid something on an auction site? I sure don't have all the answers involving other people.

Lost the auction, again, for another Ruger single six in .32 H&R. Dang… I hate it when I stay within my budget ;)

The auction is telling you to spend more money. You can eat less and drive less to win. 😁
