I stopped at my favorite LGS (to pick up proceeds from the consignment sale of a M16A1 I had built)... And "almost" brought these three home but I stifled the impulse! (Which is unusual for me)

A H&R top-break Model 925 .38spl top break from sometime 1964-72. I had never seen one before nor heard of this model. Was in great shape, priced at $225 and looked just like this

A Bersa BP9CC. This gun has a great trigger and reset and is thin and easy to carry (I had one before and sold it). Priced right at $220 it was the FDE model. It looked like this one.

A novelty gun priced at $300... The lifeguard .22lr credit card size (but thicker) single shot

I didn't being any of them home... But came close!

What guns did you "almost" acquire recently, but didn't?

I been resisting a few that Gators got in lately. He's off his gouging high horse finally. Im holding off for a 7.62x39 bolt to come in. Im at the point where i have enough guns. I do plan to trade 2 revolver later too. The grips are to small to shoot them well. Im after a 32 cal revolver with normal grips and at least a 6 inch barrel. Then i may enjoy shooting my 32 sw longs.
FYI- My favorite LGS has a short action mauser Zastava bolt action 7.62x39 for sale... PM me if you want her contact info (Black Dog Guns and Ammo, Marion, Iowa)

Wanted so badly to bid on this baby Vaquero today…chambered in .32 H&R Mag…. then I saw the barrel/ roll marks

so much legal-ease crap… most I’ve ever seen on a barrel (thought it was engraving at first). Ruger will not be getting my business.

flaxin lawyers screwed up a perfectly good gun with the crap on the barrel above

Bought my youngest son (for his 30th birthday) an optics ready Walther PDP compact 4" 9mm while at the LGS yesterday. Very very nice trigger / reset.

He was thrilled to say the least.

So... I "almost" got to take it home... I rode in the car with it as we drove home together :) (we live next to each other)

Paid $609

A Ruger Blackhawk combo 45lc/ 45acp.
I’m going to wait a bit before I make my move. The guy behind the counter said it’s been there a while and the price will go down. Asking price is $525 right now.
Had one for a couple of years… you’ll love it! Here’s a pic of mine (used to be mine)

No joy, I was outbid (and I do have limits, contrary to what my lovely wife says)

It's up to $635 and when I add 7% state tax, 1% compliance fee, $25 shipping and my LGS transfer fee of $20... My cost would be $100 more... So $740 or so is over my limit for this gun... As much as I really like it :(

Just picked up my birthday present H&K VP9 to me this morning. Once I picked it up I knew that was the one, I am sure I'm sure I had the same look on my face that my wife would have on hers when she saw a new purse she had to have.
Nice! Congrats

My son and i checked out the new gun shop in town. I almost loaned him the money to my son. For a Keltec sub 2000 9mm. It was 500.00 OTD. He said no save your money for when a 7.62x39 bolt action pops up.
Sounds like you raised a great son!

Lost the auction, again, for another Ruger single six in .32 H&R. Dang… I hate it when I stay within my budget ;)
