I'm still keeping my eyes open for a SXS .410. I grew up shooting my granny's and I just need one now.

--Wag--
I really want a nice stainless sxs coach for my collection.

I keep saying the same. The Troy A4 I mentioned above is 100% a panic buy. Definitely a "get while the gettin is good" purchase. I really dont "need" it or anything else for that matter.

At some point I'd like to have a long range bolt action. Just haven't landed on a manufacturer or caliber yet.
But I'm in no rush as I expect to spent a couple grand total between rifle and optic.
Idk what your budget is but that RPR 300 PRC is a damn nice rifle at under $2k. I’ll be picking up that Creedmoor variant in about 2 weeks. I’ll let you know how it shoots.

Please do. I have looked very hard at the RPR. Fantastic rifle for the price point. I am not taking anything away from it but I'm thinking I want something just slightly above entry level. Maybe a Sako, Tikka or Daniel Defense.
That said, I haven't written off a RPR.

I picked up that RPR 6.5 Creedmoor today. Got the scope and rings yesterday. If weather holds, I’ll test it this weekend with the whole setup.

UGH, you're killing me. 🤣
I came very close to buying one last night. I put it in my cart but clicked out before I did something crazy. If I didn't pick up that Troy last weekend I probably would have. Doesn't help that my manager told me yesterday, much to my surprise, that we're getting bonuses for the train wreck that was 2020. He even hinted at the amount.

I read a long article last night that looked at/reviewed several long range rifles and the author spoke highly of the RPC. He picked it as #1 of the 15 or so he discussed. He chose it over some that were even a bit more expensive.

Please let me know what you think about it. Thanks!

That 300 PRC is sweet. I need to take it out and stretch it’s legs. I’ve been waiting to get my hands on that Strike Eagle. Now that I have it, I’m just waiting for a nice day. I want to see what those handloads do at some distance.

I got so many damn toys this past few days and a couple more on Sunday and Monday. I got my 44 magnum last week, Vortex Strike Eagle scope this week, the Athlon Argos, one of my .357 Blackhawks picked up today, the RPR 6.5 today. Sunday I should be able to pick up my other .357. Probably Monday I’ll pick up the little Rossi pump and lever guns.

I would like to find a nice M14. I know, it's an oddball but it's the rifle I qualified with as an expert in basic training in 1966. When they issued the original M16 to us my first question was "do they expect me to butt stroke someone with this light piece of crap?"
Add to that the problems the original had misfiring and such and no way.

Guess your not looking at the right places for a 19. Both LGS in my area have them all the time.

Springfield Loaded 1911. Someone had one in stock for a decent price but they didn’t answer the phone and didn’t answer the email I sent today. Unfortunately, now my mouth is all watering for an new 1911.

I have been thinking about getting another Dan Wesson 1911
(Commander Classic or Specialist Commander, leaning towards the Classic)

The Springfield Loaded is a really nice gun. I dont have one but have often admired them. Really nice looking piece.

Might have to wait a week or two now. Wife’s TV went out in December. Been using to one from our room in the living room. Mom called yesterday and hers went out. I spent all day on the phone with the cell phone company because my cell phone stopped being able to find a cell tower on my weekly trip to the reloading shop last night.

So... they got new big screen TVs and I bought a phone. It was definitely the phone. I put my old SIM card in the new phone and it fired right up and connected to the cell tower.

I’m beginning to think there’s a damn conspiracy to cash in on stimulus checks. Too bad I’m not getting one...

I know exactly what you mean. I was very, very close to buying the RPR in 6.5cm about 2 weeks ago but my lower back had been bothering me for about a month. I finally threw in the towel and went to the chiropractor. He doesn't participate in my insurance. So a $2700 twelve month treatment package later... there went my RPR and scope.

And no stimulus check here either.

I'm getting a nice bonus next month from work but I have other plans for that. I want to build a pavilion in my back yard for my smokers/grills and my hot rod needs some body work so the bonus is earmarked for non-gun fun.
But as we're discussing, I also know life has a way of changing plans for you. 🤣
