Time for lawyers to start drafting motions and law suits and asking for arrest warrants for those elected folks who are trying to perpetrate this BS.

I think the executive branch needs to have a meeting with the judicial branch to see what can be done to prevent the legislative branch from overstepping their bounds and passing laws that blatantly violate the constitution.

Ok the gov is off his rocker. Read though the whole thing. And look what he wants to do for non gun criminals. It's B/S. He wants to treat them better than gun owners.

By letting more and more criminals out, they then can justify greater police measures against all citizens imposing their Nazi state

Our governor was kicking around the idea of gun registration. 10.00 a year per gun. To be registered at the state police barracks. And they decide if you should have it or not. I don't think it ever made it through the red tape trail.

Only "pure" Democracy can save Virginia. Just like it has saved Kalifornia, New York, Illinois, Massachusetts, ........etc.

"Sweeping Changes to Take Effect as DEMOCRATS take Control of Virginia Legislature"

Associated Press

Virginia Northam Priorities

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Democrats in Virginia are looking to advance a history-making agenda when the General Assembly convenes Wednesday that could change how Virginians vote, the type of guns they can buy and the crimes for which they can be jailed.

Quick action is expected on a number of high-profile issues that Republicans have thwarted for years in what could be the one of the most sweeping legislative sessions in decades.

“This is a new year in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and a lot of these things that we've been talking about for years are now going to become a reality,” Gov. Ralph Northam said Friday in announcing plans for a major overhaul of the state's criminal justice system that includes decriminalizing marijuana.

On Monday, Northam announced his backing of legislation to allow no-excuse absentee voting and to make Election Day a state holiday. As part of the plan the state would scrap Lee Jackson Day, a day honoring Confederate generals.

Other Democrat-sponsored initiatives involve prohibiting discrimination against members of the LGBTQ community and making Virginia the next state to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment. The amendment, submitted to the states in the early 1970s, would ban any discrimination based on sex. Virginia could be the crucial 38th state to ratify it, though legal challenges are almost certain to follow.

Voter antipathy toward President Donald Trump, particularly in suburban areas, has helped dramatically reshape the General Assembly since the president took office. Democrats won control of both chambers of the legislature last year, and now, along with Northam, have an opportunity to pass priorities in a number of areas that Republicans have blocked for years.

“The length of the list of things for which people are expecting action is longer than I ever remember it being," said Democratic Del. Ken Plum, who was first elected in the late 1970s. “On the one hand it can be overwhelming, on the other hand it can be exciting. ... It's going to be a big one."

Republican Del. Todd Gilbert, who is set to be the next House minority leader, said Democrats should be cautious about claiming a broad mandate. He noted that House Republicans enjoyed a supermajority when President Barack Obama was in office and just a few thousand votes spread across a handful of districts made the difference in partisan control of the General Assembly last year.

"Anyone who thinks the pendulum can’t swing back just as quickly isn’t paying attention," Gilbert said.

Likely the most prominent debate this year will be on gun control, an area where Democrats have promised significant changes.

Democrats want to mandate universal background checks, ban assault weapons and pass a red flag law to allow the temporary removal of guns from someone who is deemed to be dangerous to themselves or others.

Guns became a major issue in last year's legislative elections after a gunman killed a dozen people in Virginia Beach in May. A gun-control group backed by former New York City Mayor and 2020 presidential hopeful Michael Bloomberg spent heavily to help Democrats win a majority.

Ahead of this session, gun-rights groups have pledged stiff defiance. The Virginia Citizens Defense League, a prominent pro-gun group, said it plans to have “enough citizens armed with handguns to take over a modern mid-sized country” at its annual “lobby day” later this month.

Other flash points this session could be between liberal and moderate Democrats, particularly on business-related issues such as Virginia's status as a “right to work” state that blocks mandatory union fees in workplaces and efforts to put new restrictions on the short-term, high-interest loan industry and Dominion Energy, the state's largest electric monopoly.

Lawmakers are likely to approve raising the state's minimum wage to $15 an hour from $7.25 an hour, but the details about possible exemptions and how fast to implement the new wage floor are also set for debate.

All you can do is warn people not to vote Democrat. No one listens or they just don’t go out and vote, then they are appalled when the devil is in control. Illinois, it’s different. No one is safe with a Democrat in office.

I was born in the 70’s. I’ve watched the Democrat party pander to small demographic, special interest groups, one after another. What we see today is not a political party, it’s a collection of small demographics all screaming for something different. The politicians in that party are the equivalent of Jim Carey in “Bruce Almighty” when he said Yes to All in his inbox of prayers. On the Extreme Democrat issues, I don’t know 1 Democrat that agrees with more than a couple points but they stay on the bandwagon, it’s how they get what they want. They band together with other Democrats even though those other Democrat conflict with the reason they themselves are Democrats.

This is how the feminist movement that has come so far has been nullified by the transgender movement. Why 1 person’s gender identity overrides the right of women to have privacy in a restroom. Why citizens shouldn’t have guns but terrorists are OK. Why police are evil incarnate but only they should have guns. Why it’s not OK to spank your child but OK to tear their limbs off in the womb. There is power in numbers, they know it and so do the politicians. Problem is they know the ideologies collide, they just don’t care. Everyone gets what everyone wants, “that’s how we get the votes!” It’s also why every single historically democrat controlled area is bankrupt. And like the result in “Bruce Almighty”, chaos will erupt. It is unfolding as we speak.

I have been saying this for years. They don't want to stop crime, they want to increase it! With the new bail reform we have in NY just in the past week i have seen stories of bank robbers(with prior bank robberies) people committing hate crimes, hit and run vehicular manslaughter by an illegal with no license, police assaults, home invasions and several other serious crimes being committed and the people let go in less than 24 hours. At least a couple of them committed more crimes within a day or two and one guy didn't even get out of the police station before he smashed the front window of the place. These were just the tip of the iceberg, i see several news stories each day and i'm quite certain only a small percentage are being reported.

As far as VA they have gone full blown nazi on the citizens of that state. He'll have every gun owner wearing and ankle bracelet before long and require written permission to go to the police armory just to look at their gun. I'm sure NY, CA and other repressive states are just foaming at the mouth to see how much they pass in VA and what type of reactions they get.

I’ve been telling you guys about this and there has been silence. Will you let this governor snuff out the constitution? Will you wait till it’s your state to be concerned? Send money. Go there and stand up for their rights, YOUR RIGHTS! Get involved and go on the offensive. They picked this battle, it’s time and it’s place so let’s make them regret it.

There is no good excuse for anyone voting for a democrat now.
They have proven that they hate the constitution and our way of life.
They have proven that they have more sympathy for a dead terrorist than our warriors.
Lets shut doe shooting ranges so people can be less accurate, that will save lives.
Guess they want us all to be as good as the average LEO

The only good Democrat is a dead Democrat. Unfortunately, being dead doesn't stop them from voting.

Remember, VA was bought and paid for by Bloomberg who is now running for President. This was a trial run to see what he could do if he gets elected POTUS

This is the problem. People have high school mentality. It’s a popularity contest, not a contest of integrity.

An ignoramus who regularly watches "The View" can cancel out an educated and informed vote with their "popularity vote", every time. Unfortunately, elections have always been determined by who or what is "popular".

:\

If a society feels safe and comfortable, they will never allow a Socialist government to be elected, so, what the Socialist - Communist do? They create chaos in the community and allow as many criminals in the streets as possible creating fear in the citizens so they feel compelled to ask for more protection, the Socialist in power will use such request to create more obnoxious laws under the disguise of "protecting the people".

It is all in the plan folks, it is all in the plan.......................................
