It is unwise to listen to only one messenger, especially one who has ulterior motives. If were are really that close to war, other conservative media, like Daily Wire, would have backed up the story, but they haven't. They should have at least comment on it even if they didn't agree, but they haven't. Are you saying you think Carlson is the "Burning Bush," the only messenger worth listening to? With something this serious, I want at least three trusted sources agreeing.

Moreover, if you watch the whole video, which I assume you did, it turns out Carlson is not really predicting a hot war, he is proposing a hypothetical where that might happen. So his lead in statement and the headline are hyperbole if not outright lies to get ratings.

Sure, we might go to war with the usual suspects at any time. But Carlson doesn't have the inside track on knowing about it, just a possibility.
I don’t need to listen to Tucker….I can read any news media, buy groceries, visit the library, listen to the FBI, watch Biden, see all the dollars we give to Ukraine, see all the made in China labels, watch spy balloons fly over the USA and so so much more.

At war, you bet. We’re at war with the woke government that is selling us out to the enemy. Sometimes it is better to listen to what is not being reported to know what’s what. Silence from others is actually high volume to those who know better.

I believe we ARE at war. Bloodless war that just may be worse for all of us.

I respect that view. I was just commenting on Tucker's hot war prediction. There is no doubt that there is a lot of bad stuff going on, no matter what you want to call it.

IDK, I don't see it happening for several reasons.

1.) Russia doesn't have the military capability to wage war against the United States or any other nation. Ukraine proven that. Apparently, the Russian military has been neglected for decades, and it is very possible that Russia's nuclear capabilities have also been neglected.

2.) China has Mr. Magoo in their back pocket. And from what I understand China's economy is teetering on the brink of collapse. Plus China can not afford to lose one of it's largest trading partners. China is also suffering from a near a population collapse, due to their previous "one child" policy and their society's "value" of having a son over a daughter. Causing millions of female fetuses to have been aborted. Thus China now has millions of young adult sons without the possibility of ever having a wife, due to there not enough young adult women, to go around.

Just shows he'll say anything for ratings.

Here's a fun fact: According to the Nielsen ratings Carlson’s 9 p.m. ET program was the top cable news show among Democrats in the advertiser-coveted age range of 25-54. He is more popular among Democrats than Rachel Madcow (my misspelling!)
That's actually a common statistic for ratings. People often watch or listen to people they dislike to find out what they are saying or reporting on. Years ago they released some ratings for Howard Stern and the people that hated him listened more often and longer than the people that liked him.

What’s that saying? Know your enemy? Keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer?
IDK, something like that.

Sometimes it means that his opponents know he is right.
Yes, commentators will say things contrary to their standard beliefs to satisfy the masses. Not all, but many do.
Some will say things that they actually believe in that would be considered outliers.
One doesn't need to worship or march in lockstep as if their favorite news personality is a god.
Tucker's history tends to lean as conservative/libertarian, but it shouldn't matter if one is concerned with news over personality.
I listen to the like of Jimmy Dore, Matt Tiabi, Glen Grenwald etc. They are all far left, some bordering on socialists.
If they speak the truth or if I agree with a portion of what they say, it doesn't mean I am a closet lefty. It means I can rationally and logically disseminate information without fear of indoctrination or proving my own pov wrong.

Yeah, something like that. I often read some very liberal news sources. One of my favorites is AOL/Huffington post. It's interesting to see the things they omit from certain news stories, how they word things and even some words they capitalize in the middle of sentences along with how they put their spin on things. Just one example, whenever there is a story about race, especially a police shooting involving a black victim the word "Black" often capitalized while the word "white" is not. Lots of little subtle things similar to that. Even better is the comments sections, those can absolutely entertaining!

Yeah, I get that, but if the commentator is focused on ratings, he doesn't care what side the viewers are on. He is going to select and spin stories to pander to both the likers and the haters. It is still a bias for ratings rather than truth. So maybe his strategy is to lure antagonistic viewers by creating "dumpster fire" stories.

Very well could be true. Ratings equals advertisers, advertisers mean money. What does everyone like? Money.

One can usually spot the media personalities who value ratings above all else. How is it so easy? Because when they make ratings the first priority, everything else comes behind that, including credibility.
No one interested in the truth uses Rachel Maddow, Don Lemon, Jim Acosta, Rolling Stone, Slate, the NYT, etc as reputable sources for their information.
Who makes who? Tucker could do a radio show, podcast, social media, etc and continue to roll right along. It is reasonable to believe FOX would struggle to find a replacement in that time slot that would carry his weight and ratings.
There are plenty of phonies out there ripe for picking. Carlson isn't the Pope but he certainly has enough credibility to satisfy his millions of viewers.

As much could have been said of Bill O'Reilly at the height of his popularity. A suitable replacement is waiting for every "worker bee".
