Love him or hate him, Tucker Carlson has become the most important political analyst of our era. The release to him of suppressed J6 Capitol footage that contradicted the Democrat/media narrative dominated political news until Carlson's questionnaire on Ukraine policy to the potential GOP presidential field knocked it out of the headlines. Not since Woodward and Bernstein dominated the news with Watergate has a media source produced results that focused the national spotlight so completely as Mr. Tucker Carlson. Unsurprisingly, many are the progressives who want to see him knocked off the air.

Last night, he began his top-rated hour-long program with the following startling statement: "You're going to get a hot war with Russia — and China — whether you want one or not."

He followed with analysis of the Black Sea drone incident and the calls for retaliation and escalation from Lindsey Graham and "his friends in the war party" that would likely lead to outright war. And wartime, he noted at the end of the segment, leads to extraordinary suppression of political dissent.

And that's what this is really about (in addition to their personal enrichment). It's about changing the domestic politics of the United States. The second we can all say that we are at war with Russia, not 'in effect' but in reality in a hot war which is what they want, that's the moment you are no longer allowed to express your opinion. And the penalty is jail during war.

He linked the timing of the incident to the war skepticism over Ukraine voiced by many of the GOP respondents to his presidential field questionnaire. He also claimed that a majority of both Republicans and the general public do not support war against Russia, yet expression of skepticism is characterized in the media as supporting Russia. Tucker noted that the U.S. has sent Ukraine more money than the typical entire Russian military budget, yet Ukraine complains that it is running out of ammunition and demands more. So what has happened to the $100 billion–plus sent to the most corrupt country in Europe? Don't ask, or you will be demonized in the media, just as Speaker McCarthy is currently undergoing for refusing to pay a visit to Ukraine to kiss Zelensky's ring.

IDK, I don't see it happening for several reasons.

1.) Russia doesn't have the military capability to wage war against the United States or any other nation. Ukraine proven that. Apparently, the Russian military has been neglected for decades, and it is very possible that Russia's nuclear capabilities have also been neglected.

2.) China has Mr. Magoo in their back pocket. And from what I understand China's economy is teetering on the brink of collapse. Plus China can not afford to lose one of it's largest trading partners. China is also suffering from a near a population collapse, due to their previous "one child" policy and their society's "value" of having a son over a daughter. Causing millions of female fetuses to have been aborted. Thus China now has millions of young adult sons without the possibility of ever having a wife, due to there not enough young adult women, to go around.

People who believe Carlson need to watch his interview with Ben Shapiro. Carlson has found a lucrative audience with reactionary conservatives, but by his own admission, he is a closet lefty who is a fan of Bernie Sanders. He also supports socialist policies like artificial job protectionism. He did a "hit piece" interview that hampered Bush's reelection campaign. He got his start in liberal bastions like CNN, MSNBC and PBS. He was the "token conservative" at liberal outlets, like Jeraldo Rivera was the token liberal at Fox. I don't trust him.

And proclamations like "we're going to war" is great for ratings, which is what it is all about for him.

Yep, let’s all sit back and argue amongst ourselves. I wonder about some of the comments I read here and question who are we at war with, now? Oh, China and Russia is certainly a war now even if you do not believe it. The current “elected” is going whatever they can to bring us to the edge and when we trip over it, I am certain we will hear the words Republican, conservative, Trump and the rest. When will it happen? Is 6 months too soon? Is 2 years too soon? Maybe we should plan it out for 5 - 10 years; just as the left socialists have been doming for decades.

Seems when anyone hits a nerve (Tucker and others) the questionable views surface. Tucker is right, maybe not accurate with the timing, but if anyone has ears, eyes, a brain cannot see where we are headed, you either like the direction or just do not give a damn about this country. There, I said it.

For years and years I have listened to individuals keep telling me my tin hat was too tight, that will never happen in the good ol’ USA, the people will not allow it. Years later we are experiencing trannies teaching kids, 25 different pronouns, woke universities, governments, churches and such. Government pushing for sex changes on kids and parents molding their children into whatever they feel like. Rapists getting slaps on the hand, murderers with ankle bracelets, early release, violence on the streets…..all this just for starters.

We predicted the downfall of the USA, not from outside means, but from within the borders. Americans blindly walking the streets thinking it’s never happen here. January 6th, Biden, China, gun laws and so I much more.

Tucker is crazy? Tucker is a promoter of fear? PLEASE……maybe your opinion and spoken words about Tucker are the problem; the cause of where we are today.

Here's a fun fact: According to the Nielsen ratings Carlson’s 9 p.m. ET program was the top cable news show among Democrats in the advertiser-coveted age range of 25-54. He is more popular among Democrats than Rachel Madcow (my misspelling!)

You are not a mainstream media personality, as far as I know. The problem with the MSM today is not so much untrue facts, although there is that. The main problems are 1) What they choose to report on and what they choose not to report on. AND, as in this case, 2) Representing opinions as facts, often sensationalizing to get ratings.

But yeah, if you voted for Carter and aren't ashamed to admit it, that drops your credibility way down!*

* Just kidding about that part, really. My first presidential vote was for Mondale!

It is unwise to listen to only one messenger, especially one who has ulterior motives. If were are really that close to war, other conservative media, like Daily Wire, would have backed up the story, but they haven't. They should have at least comment on it even if they didn't agree, but they haven't. Are you saying you think Carlson is the "Burning Bush," the only messenger worth listening to? With something this serious, I want at least three trusted sources agreeing.

Moreover, if you watch the whole video, which I assume you did, it turns out Carlson is not really predicting a hot war, he is proposing a hypothetical where that might happen. So his lead in statement and the headline are hyperbole if not outright lies to get ratings.

Sure, we might go to war with the usual suspects at any time. But Carlson doesn't have the inside track on knowing about it, just a possibility.
