Took my Argentine Mauser , my savage 223, my 30/30 and 760 in 30.06. Discovered the Mauser does not like it's bore super clean. Had some spread at 1st. I did make some new loads 123 grain .311 bullets. So i was thinking it was them. I ran a clip full of my other loads. Same thing. But they started to tighten up the last 2 rounds. Ran 5 more of my new loads. Grouped tighter. So fouling shots is needed for the ole rifle. I deep cleaned the Mosin too. It will go out next time around. Should be interesting.

After a deep clean most rifles tend to tighten considerably after a few fouling shots. In my experience the higher the round count (wear) the more it takes to come back in. There are exceptions to every rule.

Its doing good. My 120 grain shots were a little left and up. But tight group. I left the scope alone. Since it's in for Remington core-lokts.
