And those with an agenda to bend reality towards.

  • A new study found that states with looser concealed-carry gun laws have higher rates of gun homicide.
  • The results also showed that higher levels of gun ownership are associated with more mass shootings.
  • The study suggests the US could reduce gun violence by lowering levels of gun ownership and passing stricter concealed-carry laws.
To there source
. firearms homicide rates are higher in permissive concealed carry states.
. Although household gun ownership has been declining since the early 1990s
. Aside from influencing individual gun-purchasing behavior, mass shootings are often used to garner support for more restrictive or permissive firearms laws.
For example, one study found each incident increased the number of firearm bills introduced in any given state’s legislature by 15%
. the present study utilizes cross-sectional panel models and generalized estimating equations (GEE) to compare the impact of household gun ownership and concealed carry legislation on the incidence rate of mass shootings and firearms homicide in the 50 U.S. states from 1991 to 2016.
The study begins with a discussion of previous empirical work on gun ownership, firearms homicide, and mass shootings before turning to the literature on concealed carry legislation.

What a load of @rap to wade thru.

Here in NH our gun laws are as loose as the south’s. We have constitutional carry and a good majority pack heat. We have like 2-3 murders a year that are drug related. We have some of the lowest gun violence and crime in the country. When ANTIFA came to Manchester our militia was there at the storefronts open carrying. Let’s just say the commies left very fast. If more people packed heat, I would bet a lot less crime would be committed. That’s just my take.

NH is a great state for gun owners and they’re pretty smart too! NH has constitutional carry and has a bunch of reciprocal agreements. They will issue a carry permit for non residents for $100. That’s how my son was able to carry in WY last summer on his fishing trip.

At least part of the problem is that these idiots include self defense shootings in their stats. True they are considered homicides, but they are not murders. These idiots need to get their facts straight. But then again the numbers they use are probably pure fiction anyway

I love it here as a gun owner. Too bad we are a couple bills away from being the next Virginia. All that stands in their way is our republican governor. I bet as more and more mass and cali people move here our laws will continue to deteriorate. I bet if the dems pass the laws and tried to confiscate guns our crazy libertarian groups would probably start a war and most of the police would join them 😂.

If the very, very small number of :immigration votes" is enough to tip your state in elections, perhaps you need to consider the "numbers" of home-grown Liberal base voters.

It's hard to admit, but the Liberal Way (agenda) represents the "easy way", doesn't require any discipline or standing on principles. Thus its appeal. Texas is the prime example where morons like Beto can actually grow and gain traction with the youth vote. The "good ol' days" are disappearing in the rear-view and below the horizon.

Here in Texas for the past 2 years in a row we have been averaging 1000 new transplants per day.
That is an average of 365,000 people a year. Tell me that will not change your demographics

Being one of those new transplants, I am happy to add to the Constitution loving part of the population of Texas!

Thanks! We are very happy to be here!
It seems that is the way of liberals, once they make a total disaster in one place, instead of accepting the reality that they screwed it up and then changing their ways, they just abandon the mess they made and go elsewhere to repeat the process...

I see you moved to Littlefield, Panhandle region. Nice folks up there.
If you have not gone yet head up to Canyon Texas near Amarillo and visit Palo Duro Canyon. Second largest just behind the Grand. It is awesome to behold.
Forgive me do not want to hijack this post. If you want info on palo Duro PM me.

Most of todays generation never had to work for any thing Mommy and Daddy paid there bills send them to college where professors fill there heads with how great Socialisms would be. They regurgitate stuff they know little to nothing about but are to lazy to get the facts.
I find that to be true about most of the liberals I talk to its sad.

Stevejet made a good point that hadn’t occurred to me before. Those of us on the right stand on principle and don’t necessarily take the easy side. We tend to do the right thing even if it makes life a bit tougher. We don’t look for the easy, let someone else do it, it’s not my job way of life. Thanks Steve but that was eye opening.

Stamps reminded me of Subjective Morality

Objective Morality

When we discuss objective morality,
we are talking about an absolute, unchanging criteria or spectrum for moral and immoral activity.
This implies that the concept of good and evil is universal and fixed.
Objective morality asserts that it transcends race, creed, culture, time, situations, circumstance, etc.
In other words, it is a metaphysical agent, independent from the influence of our world.

Subjective Morality

suggests the opposite of objective morality.
It asserts that morality is relative, subject to things like personal beliefs, circumstances, cultures, worldviews, etc.
With this school of thought, your morality may be different than mine.
Internal and external factors have the ability to mold and blend morality, depending on the individual.

I remember seeing this when trying to understand the evil that is Clinton.
