I am looking for information on the value and years that the stevens savage 16 gauge single shot 1078 or 107B model I cannot tell were made.

Stevens made a wide variety of inexpensive, utilitarian shotguns that, to date, have attracted mostly shooting interest, but little collector interest.

The Stevens No. 107 (in all of its incarnations) was manufactured from 1912 through 1945. Approximately 442,500 were made during this time.

I had a couple of Stevens single shots in 12 and 20 gauge about ten years ago. I think both had a ten-penny nail for a firing pin. Sold them both for $75 each!
