Does any one own a S&W M&P 9mm compact? I've been looking for an ambedextrious gun and it looked good. Haven't been able to get to the range and rent one. Looking for a compact carry with controls for a lefty like me.

Probably the best pistols for a lefty are the H&K P.30 and the H&K P.2000. They are not inexpensive.

I do not own a S&W M&P Compact. I have "stress tested" the M&P. In my opinion, and my opinion only, they (the new M&P line) are the best pistol (not revolver) S&W has ever offered.

I have been bad mouthing S&W pistols for 35 years. They came to the hi-cap game late and never managed to catch up to the rest of the field. With the M&P they have passed the majority of the field. It is a state of the art pistol.

I'm a lefty and frequently carry either my USP40c with LEM trigger or my Variant 1 USP45c, which is very easy to control left-handed. My (right-handed) wife carries a USP40c/LEM as well. Very ergonomic and completely intuitive controls.
