I have lived in Tennessee for the past 23 years and become spoiled. I have a CC permit which I have had for the past 5 years. I carry religiously. Everyday, all the time, just like a watch or my wallet. It is a part of my persons. I am a Licensed Practical Nurse. My wife and I started doing Medical work by use of computers. And just recently, we were offered to travel to San Jose, California to occupy a private home for a three month period during the summer. An awesome invitation! Free airfare, company car, and gas card, free housing,(utilities included too). All we have to pay for is our food. My question is: I want to bring my Glock 32. I know I cant Conceal Carry there "legally". I want to keep it at the home for self defense. I could drive and bring it, or ship it. Shipping would be the cheapest alternative. I could also ride my Harley too. My question is If I ship it, can I just ship it directly to the address where I will be staying, or does it have to ship to a FFL? I would use either Fed Ex or UPS as USPS wouldn't do it. Or could I fly, and have it in "checked" baggage? I have taken it to Florida twice and there were no problems. But I would be flying into probably San Francisco which is Liberal City USA? Any replies would be MUCH appreciated.Sorry this is sooo long. I am a newbee here.

It would have to be shipped to an FFL, and any Cali restrictions would apply, such as magazine capacity bans.

According to the BATFE, you can legally ship it, via common carrier, to yourself in CA.
