Hello all! recently i purchased a S&W EZ 9 m/m pistol. what happened was
that i disassembled my new pistol for cleaning before i to take it to the range.
but it was a problem on my part while replacing the slide i accidentally
pulled the trigger, now with the hammer now in the up position i am unable to
remove the slide at all. before i take it back to the place for some servicing
they may need to send it back to S&W for service.
i thought i would check for any quick fix here first.

Can you rack the slide without depressing the palm safety?

no the slide moves just a hair back and forth, and i can see the hammer in the upward
position. i can however rack the slide back without pressing the back safety.

If you can get to it. There is a little lever you have to push down, At about 1.30 into the video.

Thats strange. Once the slide is racked back it should reset the hammer.
With the slide back can you get anything in there to depress the hammer down further?
Seems to me that if you could get the hammer locked down you'd be good to go.

Okay guys i finally got the slide off, and the hammer is now in the cocked position
which is where it should be.

Well just got back from the range now fired 200 rounds thru it.
had a couple of stove pipes from the first few rounds.
other then that all other rounds shot flawlessly great shooter
handles fine too i love it!.ho one more thing the ammo i was using was Sellier & Bellot
115 grain round nose.

We picked up an EZ9 last month just never went to the range with it or disassembled it yet. Been busy and I have a carry firearm that I really like.

Couple of stove pipes? Might be breaking in or do you feel a 124gr or even a 124gr +P might be better out of it?

Breaking in period my guess too with the stove pipes. i never tried the 124 gr i'll
pick up a couple of boxes, and i didn't know it was rated for +P.
i'll pick up 4 boxes each 2 regular 124 gr and 2 +P 124 gr.

I don't even know if it is rated for plus P. I haven't even read the manual yet. I'll have to read the manual someday before I take it to the range I would say that it might be like some of the other firearms out there that a +P from time to time is ok.

I have done some study you can shoot + p but not a whole lot of it.
it will damage the barrel and wear it out even faster, its
not recommended.

Just yesterday I decided to go to the range and rent one the 9mm EZ and simply loved it. It was very accurate, easy to rack and recoil was not bad at all. I'm still working on getting one (have been for 6 months).
