Depending where the tumor is and how it’s set and the type of cancer are all variables.
Why would someone want to work up to the day they die? You would think that she would want to hang it up but I guess she doesn't want Trump to replace her so she is bound and determined to outlive his presidency..

plenty of folks will work until they drop.......
while i often disagree with her, i am fairly sure she probably feels its her patriotic duty to hang in there until trump is out in order to prevent the court from shifting further to the right.....

I’ve said it before, she was going to retire under HRC and insure a liberal replacement but HRC lost. Now she’s just trying to outlast DJT. She doesn’t want to give him another pick. I hope that the next pic is so damn conservative that it make the left’s heads explode.
i shutter to think what would have happened if HRC had won. This world would be so different on so many levels that you wouldn’t even recognize it and not in a good way. Now we need those indictments. .
Some day Trump will leave office, so your vision of the future is just on hold, it will come.

I don't know if she has grandchildren but, apparently, her hatred for the United States exceeds her love for her family.

I heard today she survived a pancreatic tumor in 2009. No one survives pancreatic cancer and yet she did. Not all of Steve Jobs' money saved him from it and yet..

My wife says heaven doesn't want her and hell won't have her.

She's not the only one who has refused to retire.. Remember McCain, who hated Trump more than he loved his family.

I don't want to wish bad things on anyone but I wish good things for our country and for the Court. I'm willing to accept whatever that means for her. Retire or not; just get out.

While everyone is on a deathwatch waiting for RBG to kick the bucket, keep in mind that, Breyer is 81 years old and could succumb to an illness/disease, just like RBG.

With a second term, it is possible for President Trump to name RBG and Stephen G. Breyer's replacements, making the SCOTUS lean 7-2 to the Conservative side. Which is why we need to keep a Republican majority in the Senate, as well as, re-elect President Trump.

5-4 conservative if Breyer and Ginsberg go and if the conservatives that Trump appoints actually are conservative. Justices appointed to be conservative, more often than not in my lifetime, get in the Court and seem to want to prove just how not-conservative they really are.

Yes, you are correct. Sadly she continues to remain in her position and does not step down. I believe there comes a time when health plays an important role in one's ability to make sound decisions. We see it, hear about it and even experience it with family and friends. There comes a time when one cannot properly rationalize about their own care, their own life......let alone being able to rationalize about issues that impact our country and its future.

She really needs to step down. I truly believe she is incompetent at this time inter life.

RBG scare: David Axelrod warns Supreme Court vacancy fight could 'tear this country apart'
According to the socialists....everything "we" do will tear this country apart. Guess what? TOO LATE! The left has already done that!

Make no mistake, there will be a massive pissing contest on the next appointment. It will be a fight like we’ve never seen before for an appointment. The real question is, who wants to go through that? What justice would want to go through the equivalent of a lifelong reviewing rectal exam? I know when I was around 14 I kissed a girl and may have groped a few places.......13-14-15-16 and I’m sure it wasn’t always tolerated and never forced. That leaves me out.

I get the feeling it's not so much of a warning but a threat.

Elections have consequences... The Democrats lost and McConnell chosen not to have a vote on Obama's nomination.. There is zero doubt that Schumer would have had the vote even though they've blocked republican nominees in the last year.
The heck with how the Republican's always do things. Time to do business like the dems do.
Fight fire with fire. Appeasement does not work on liberals, they see it as a sign of weakness and just demand more.
We need a landslide in 2020 to show them how the country feels is not what the headlines at the NYT and CNN say are totally different.

In a recent interview, she said that she planned on serving on the court for at least 5 more years. We'd better put our hopes on Breyer retiring.
