It's a reasonable deal. I see them around $420 most places. If I didn't already have a MK IV and I were local, I'd probably grab one.
Not a great deal, but not bad either. It would tempt me too. I want a Mark IV to go along with my Standard Model. Good shooting pistols. I just saw where Bud’s has that model for $443. I think $400 is pretty good.
Pretty sure that's the new one too where you don't have to stand on your head and put tinfoil on your big toe to get it back together.

I like the grips on it. My 3 the grips can not be changed. Plus the ease of field take down in the 4 will be nice.

I never was bothered much by the original takedown and reassembly, but the Mark IV makes it really nice and simple now.

I was never bothered much by jock-itch or Obama.

At least two guys at the range where I shoot have recently bought Mark IV's. Not only do they love them, but everyone else who has tried them does, too. Ruger has a winner here.

It's a good gun. And as mentioned in an other post here specially in take down and reassembling. Enjoy cleaning the Mark IV after every match. It takes a few seconds to take apart, run a brush through the barrel and then patches until they come out clean. Putting it together takes another 5 seconds. I love that.
This gun is going to give you a lot of fun!

Its home took it and got er zeroed in. It was on windage wise out of the box. Just had to bring it down some. It was shooting about 6 inches high. He threw in a brick of Aguila copper plated ammo too.

Just got back from shooting it some more. It needs a cleaning now. Time to test the easy take down feature. I'll report how that goes,

Congratulations on the Ruger! My Mark 1 & 2 are a ***** to reassemble after cleaning so they only get cleaned every few years or so but then again I don’t shoot them much.

I do the CLP powder blast clean on my MK3. Then do a through clean like you do now and then.
I have the Mark 4 Competition in SS. Had it now for about a year.
Take down is so easy and reassembly is just as easy. Not like the older models that could be a pain

I paid just a little more for mine but it's the Stainless Steel Model.
You just have to love the breakdown and reassembly of the pistol

When you add in 3% cc fee and then about $25 for FFL fee, $400 otd looks like a great deal
