I was given a rolling block rifle that my father had put together. I was told my father had bought the action. He sent it to my uncle, who rebarreled and head spaced it in 218 Bee. I was told that it is a Remington model 3, but can find no information on a model 3. The only marks on the action is 377U. Located on the bottom, in front of the trigger guard. It also has a rolling extractor

Pictures are always helpful and welcome to the forum. There are two possible solutions to this problem, one is that the rifle started out life as a Rolling Block 3 band and when the barrel was changed, the for-end was also changed, or it is a Hepburn #3 Falling block, or none of the above. There are parts listed for a #3 on gunsparts web site. Remington Rolling Block No. 3 Single Shot Rifle Schematic | Numrich
Good luck on your quest!
