Remington 700 refinish

A quick refinish on a Remington 700 rifle, I also installed a new Timney trigger while I was at it

Just out of curiosity, what did you use to do the bluing?

I use the hot caustic or hot salts method (same as the mfgs do), sodium hydroxide and sodium nitrate heated to 290 degrees
I like the way that came out. I don't do hot blue anymore. I do so few guns I gave my Baldor and tanks to my #1 son. Sometimes I wish I had kept the Baldor. They don't make a better polishing machine. :thumbsup:
