I've got a Remington 700 ADL in .30-06. I know that kits are available to convert the ADL to a BDL, and that they require some modification to the stock. Has anyone tried it?

Also, instead of using a kit, I was thinking of just replacing the stock entirely with a BDL stock. Anyone know if that is even feasible?

i'm not positive but i think the only major difference is the dropdown floorplate? even if that is not the only difference im sure you could swap stocks. you could pick up a cheap synthetic from any one who does that work or buy my favorite an MPI stock.they make a stock with a high cheek piece for the bdl so you can use a large (50mm) objective scope and still anchor your cheek.
