Some will fit and work just fine. Some need fitting to the frame. There's no telling which you will get.
Reliability of changing out the slide on your pistol?
Planning on purchasing a second OEM slide for my M&P 2.0 Compact 4in. I believe I found one here: https://www.midwestgunworks.com/page/mgwi/prod/3007919
Anyone ever experienced or heard of reliability issues when changing out the slide that came with their pistol originally?
(I understand this must be an incredible "newbie" question. I appreciate any and all sympathy and understanding haha.)

I've had nothing but good when swapping Glock slides that were OEM from the factory made. Found aftermarket slides for 1911 n some Glocks needed fitting here n there. Like Popeye said there's no telling if it will need some fitting to work.
