Reducing trigger pull on my baby rock. 380 1911

It has a 9lb pull, Is there any tweaks i could do to lessen it? I did see some videos about adjusting the center spring on the sear spring. I have a heck of a time getting decent groups with it. Would really like to get it into the 5lb range.

I am not sure what is available for that particular gun. That was one of the things I really did not like about the gun and kept me from being interested; Armscor advertises a 7-9lb trigger on it as being standard. Not the sort of trigger I would want.good luck Coal, I am sure somebody will have some helpful ideas here.
I sent an email out to RIA about too. Maybe they can help me. Review vids said it had a 5lb. So they must have made a change over time. Some one on the RIA FB page said it's because it's considered a pocket gun. And they did it for liability reasons. Maybe someone shot them self in the leg or foot?

Yeah, that would not surprise me, everybody runs scared regarding potential liability for stupid. 5 lb. would be a pretty decent trigger for the little guy.
My little Taurus spectrum groups better. My Walther PK 380 that is an awesome shooter.
Nine pounds is excessive.

I've never had one apart but the frame internals seem quite similar to a traditional 1911, only snaller. I do not know if upgraded internals are available.

Unless you're experienced, tweeking (as opposed to replacing)springs should be a last resort.

Here's a beginning.

First, if you haven't already, detail strip, clean and lube the pistol. Look here:

Once apart, examine the trigger. Is there excessive wear on the bow? Does one side show more wear than the other? Is the wear uneven? Are burrs evident?

Check the sear, and assembly, for uneven wear and burrs.

Thank you Popeye. I only field stripped and cleaned it when i got it. I may have a bunch of grime in side from shooting it. I'll take it down and check it over and clean well.
I made some progress. It was dirty. No uneven wear. I cleaned it well. Lightly lubed everything with remoil then. Wost part was getting the sear spring to stay put. Trigger is cleaner in the break. And now 7.5 lbs on the wheeler gauge. My 1st time detail stripping a 1911. Im proud of myself. And thanks again Popeye. Now for a range test.

Check wolf springs for upgrades or replacements if no one has mentioned it.

Good idea. I use there springs for recoil springs and firing pin springs when i need to replace them. Now that i know how to do the 1911 detail take down. Im going to get some of there main springs for my older ones.
Here is what im dealing with as far as groups. This guy is getting the same results. I was playing around dry firing with a laser bore sighter attached. I went outside the box with finger pad placement. Almost had my finger wrapped around the trigger. I got less light movement when pulling the trigger, Going to play with finger placement next outing.

Well i did better with the groups. Kept all shots on paper lol. Actually they stayed in a decent pattern. Not all to the left like before. I did mess something up on reassembly had to do some restrikes. I'll figure that out. At least im making progress on the accuracy.
Figured out why i needed to restrike. Firing pin was not retracting. It's good to go now.
I give up the firing pin is broke in 2 pieces. :mad5:
New firing pin came and a bonus. A new mag for my 9mm. I was not aware Armscor warrantied the mags. I mentioned the mag was not activating the slide stop. But my new mags did. They even sent a 10 round mag. Great customer service.
