ok last saterday i went to the range with my friend matt. :-B-:

I shot the Sig P226 in 9mm luger.
it is Awsome, acurite, low recoil, good grouping.
I pumped out about 50 rounds all hit where i aimed, at 35yds. all in all i great weapon, not going to take down a meth head with a body shot but easly can be aimed for the head.

Even though I dont shoot pistols that much (barely). it would be a gun i would get just to shoot, let alone the defence aplications.

9.9/10

congradulations on your epiphany. I had a similar experiance in 1992. I was strictly a revolver guy. when I told a buddy I wanted to buy a semi he asked me what I wanted. I said," just get me the best 9mm they make" (I guess I should have told you he was a gun dealer.) A week later he handed me a Sig 226. I took it to the range and just couldn't believe the accuracy and fun. I now own approx. 12 Sigs. I haven't counted lately.Ialso own and shoot a couple dozen other fine semi-autos, but Sigs are still my favorite and in my mind the best.

If, and only if, you are right-handed. They are the least ambidextrous currently-manufactured handgun made.

Sig's are sweet, I own a 229 and love it.
One thing I really like about the Sig is they
are super easy to clean.
