Went shooting at the indoor range today with one of my daughters then to the coffee shop for a father-daughter date.

She used to be (before marriage and kids) a rifle range officer for a youth camp… and is a skilled shooter.

She brought her (left to right):

• 9mm Shield EZ carry gun
• .22lr Colt (Walther) 1911-22
• Ruger commander SR-1911 9mm

I brought my:

• SW 4” 15-2 .38spl
• Bul Armory full size 1911 9mm
• Taurus competition TX22

we shot at 10yds primarily…

and she won most of the friendly competitions with shooting like this (8rds from the Bul Armory 1911 9mm with bulk 115gr FMJ ammo)

Range time with family is always the best! Big smiles at the coffee shop as we recapped the range time

Always a good time shooting with family. Glad you two had the time to get together for a range/coffe day. Looks to of been some nice shooting also.

• Ruger commander SR-1911 9mm" It's good to see she owns her own guns, uses them and actually owns more than just one gun for protection. Many women I see who make the leap into gun ownership buy their one gun for protection while a much smaller segment is actually a "gun nut" like the rest of us. My cousin and her daughter are like this as well. They have guns for trap, hunting, protection and for fun.
