I passed on a Radical upper based on the feedback that you have cited. If you go into it eyes open, should be all good.
Radical Firearms
Has anyone experienced Radical Firearms parts or guns? I'm thinking of a few AR uppers from them. Stories of 1.5 to 2 MOA groups at 100 yards don't bother me; for my purposes, that's plenty accurate for the sub $200 price for a complete upper minus BCG and charging handle.
