Watching a recent review by Garand Thumb on the Wilson Combat P320, Thumb made the point that sunlight can reflect on the top of the slide rail, which got me wondering if there is a pistol with a pyramid shaped slide rail to deflect the light away?

A few cursory checks online didn't reveal anything, has there been any attempt to make this work?

I never had a sun glare issue with any of my guns. Even my stainless ones no issues. One thing i had issues with. Was with reflex sights in the sun. Open sights no problems.

I think he's deployed in areas around the world where the sun shine is quite punishing.

Never the less, do you think that the idea of a pyramid slide rail could be useful to negate this issue, much like how the F-35 reflects radar waves.

I notice that OSS Suppressors have octagonal housing, which still leaves the top flat surface, but is close.
