If you clean your handguns and rifles and then store them in the safe, how long can they be stored before you need to pull them out of the safe and reoil them?

I know the humidity levels in different parts of the country are a consideration and whether or not you have humidity control in your safe makes a difference.

What are your opinons about long term storage?

I use Rig Rag for rust and blueing protection and put them in Aloksak element proof bags, then in the safe.

Not familiar with "Rig Rag" is that a rust prevention oil/grease or a sack for the gun??

Rig rag is a sheeps wool rag coated in Rig universal grease, I call it new age cosmoline but it is external only, It protects blueing while preventing rust, I use it on all the guns in the back to keep them nice a shiny for the customers
