Whats going on in this country when people have total disrespect for police and even their boss the mayor calls them racist thugs, people dumped water on NYC cops in a show of total disrespect and these poor cops just ignored it because they knew if they didnt their boss would not back them, sad situation, thugs are taking the streets in NYC same thing in Cal. , Oregon and Washington, the west coast , is outta control too, God I am glad I live in the South...I feel sorry for police when their hands are tied by socialist government officials, what will it take, this will be interesting to see when the cops dont respond in these areas, only problem is good people get hurt, its a crying shame

The policeman IS the pointy-end of our spear. Ultimately, he/she is responsible for their reaction to assaults.

This is the leftist liberial utopia again. I hope they are happy with what they are getting.
Like everything in NYC, the unions are in control. If they don't like the support from the people or Mayor, time for a strike.
Unfortunately the disrespect for Police is even creeping into the south.
It is more a big city issue than regional.
Even here in Texas, Dallas, Austin, Houston are run by democrats and you know what that gets you.
Small town USA is the only rational place to live anymore.
As soon as the wife retires selling the house in DFW area and moving out to God's country and away from all this BS.
You don't think the simple country kids in :"God;s Country" don't emulate the coolness and hipness of the "City Kidz"? Brace yourself.

The most recent recognized rule of nations governments and societies is that both end up following the developed and developing "culture". Sen. Patrick Moynihan observed and stated this.
