Wow. Guns are really out of control there.
I hope you were being sarcastic. If not, guns are not the problem. The problem is gang-bangers, drug dealers, robbers, thieves, and every other undesirable living in Chicago, that the powers that be there refuse to do anything about.

That doesn’t fit the narrative and puts liberal gun control and liberals in general in a bad light. They’ll save that fight for later. Don’t even bring it up because that’s not the playbook they’re running.

How about the fact that elected politicians of all stripes are "elected politicians", not "problem solvers". THEY DON'T HAVE ANY ANSWERS. They are so stoopid, they can't bring themselves to admit their incompetence and find people who can solve the problems. How about re-trying what actually has worked in the past? Nawwww.....

Why do you think all these cities (San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, Stanton, Portland, Chicago and New York City) are screwed and dying in many sectors?

Politician's trajectory is evolutionary: Their sole purpose in life is to survive the next election. Trump has been campaigning since Nov 09, 2016.

To that end, any of them would rather do nothing than risk suicide by decision. When constituents threaten to halt a politician's career, things change in a hurry. If not, the upcoming replacement wins the hill.

So, to the contrary, politicians are far from "stoopid."

It's a crime to shoot people, so it's both.

The gun problem is certainly not the doing of the state of Illinois.

Illinois is competing with the likes of California and New Jersey for the strictest gun control laws.

One of the reasons that it isn't working is the more lax (Republican) states that border those.

According to the 2017 Gun Trace Report, which was put out by the city of Chicago and the Chicago Police Department, 60% of firearms come from out of state, with Indiana as the primary source for approximately one out of every five crime guns.

Because Illinois (and California and New Jersey) state law has been made ineffective by adjacent states, gun control advocates are working to get Congress to make laws that apply to ALL states.

It's not a clever move to use Chicago as an example of how gun laws don't work.

That opens the "adjacent states," can of worms and elevates the "gun problem" to the federal level.

I think the following description should be added to the dictionary:

Politician = Professional lier

Maybe they are ill, you should take them to a gun doctor to see why they stay idle over the weekend. LOL
