Hey guys I have a quick question for Y'all, I'm 15 years old and I plan on getting an AR-15 and originally I was gonna get a SBR but i'm not completely clear on the NFA rules and regulations and i've been working all winter for it but i don't wanna get the gun if i have to be my parents side every time I go shooting because i'm usually hunting alone or with my brother. I already have a 300 win mag so id just like the have a light semi out for smaller game. I live on a 20 acre mountain so we have a bunch of wildlife. Anyways I was just hoping someone would give me some info on the SBR's and if i'm even aloud to have one. If not i'll just get a full size AR. And I live in Idaho. Thanks in advance.

Save yourself the hassle and have your parents get a 'full sized' AR style rifle/carbine.

The dollar expense, time involved and paperwork required in legally acquiring a SBR, when weighed against the advantages (both perceived and actual) of a SBR, make it an overall losing proposition.
