My brother called me to ask if I wanted to go with him to the range/gun store.. he wanted to get something new. Well.. Of Course I went :---
after looking at a bunch of guns, he decided on the Walther PPK .380 in SS (absolutely stunning gun). then we noticed two little toys on the shelf.. a pair of "Cobra Firearms" model CA380 autos. in .380 like the Walther.
One was Chrome, the other Blue. for $104.00 each.
after checking them out, we both got one.. I took the Chrome one he took the blue. since he just got 2 boxes of .380 for the Walther we got our stuff and moved to the range. now for 100 bucks I did not expect much from these pistols.
we were joking that if they managed to go through a whole mag without jamming or exploding we got our money's worth..
we put a box of 50 through each one without a single hiccup. :-B-:

Glad to see it worked out for you, I have not heard very good marks from cobra firearms. But I have a jennings .22 that every body swears that the company is crap, but mine works. High five! :-B-:

Thats too funny, I have the exact same thing sitting in front of me as I read this. Mine is a Davis Industries model P-380. They are neat little shooters. :--- You can't go wrong with a little bling bling for $100. :D

As far as inexpensive pistols go, I've sold a few Cobras (both SA and Derringer) and the buyers who asked for them seem to like them (we didn't stock them). When we were much more active in sales, we sold dozens of Davis P380s and never had one returned. Can't say that for any of the other inexpensive zinc pistols. Also, I can't speak for any of the other mfg'rs, but Davis does back their warrantee.

OBTW -- VERY IMPORTANT -- On ANY of the low-end pistols, don't ever trust the safety. They fail or are disengaged much more readily than on the more expensive guns. Personally, and it's not just to "CYA", I always caution my customers to carry "condition 3" with Davis, Jennings, Phoenix, or any of the others.
