Good Day everyone, thanks for the opportunity to be a member of this great forum. I am the proud new owner of a H&K 9mm SFP, a Berreta Arx 100 and a Luger 10/22 Slr take down.
I was searching the Web on more information regarding the Arx 100, and this is how I came across this forum. It seems there are more then enough qualified members on this forum that could give their guidelines and experiences or just down rite advice.
I am from South Africa. I trust all conversations will be fruitful.

Welcome to NGF! While I am not familiar with the ARX 100, I suspect some will have some insights that might be of benefit. I spent a few days in Johannesburg about 17 years ago, mostly just stopping through overnight. Interesting city, would have enjoyed a few more days.
Thanks for the welcome, yes, Johannesburg was a nice place, some 30 years ago though. Today it's the crime capital of the world. And it is still declining. As a matter the fact, our country is a sad story all together. But that's for another forum I suppose.
I really hope there are some members that can give me some guidance on the weapons I purchased, regarding, adding some extras on them, the do's and don'ts.
My town is going down hill too. Not long ago if you forget to lock your doors no worry. Not these days. Someone will have knowledge on the guns you have. We have a diverse group of gun owners here.

Welcome to NGF.

We have political forums here that are a great place to talk about the sad story of your country. In fact, we'd love to hear more; I'm confident in speaking for the group on that. There are those in the United States who are trying hard to destroy all history except that history which supports their own views and to ignore what they can't destroy. If we don't get smart and face reality in an honest way, our history will become similar to your own so your history, to those of us who love our country, is very important to us - besides the empathy we have for what has been done to you and what you go through now.
Greetings And Welcome To The Forum

Howdy my African friend. I had to go talk to someone at work when I called a co-worker "my African friend." There was an EEO investigation but apparently nothing came of it. Interestingly enough he was born and raised in an African country and I considered him my friend, Enough to discuss gun safety and invite him to be a guest at my range anyway. At the top of his list was shooting an AK, imagine that.

One of my kids went to school with a girl from South Africa. I was asking what they spoke assuming they spoke English with an accent and she said Afrikaans. She was young so I thought she was confused and thinking back I may have belittled her. I wish I could talk to her to apologize for my ignorance but that will have to be one of life's many regrets.

So as you can see by my post not all conversations are fruitful but many are. If I say anything about an ARX 100 don't believe me because I know nothing about it.

I am a Ruger fan so be careful about confusing it with Luger. I also wear a Ruger badge lanyard at work that I thought may raise objections but no one had said anything except a few gun enthusiast asking me about it. I could fill a page with badge stories but I post when a related topic comes up in conversation in dribs and drabs. I already dribbed so let me hold the drab. Sometimes I do ramble on so let me just say. Groete en welkom.
