New Gun Owner Needs Help - Citadel Boss 25

I'm 65 years old and have never owned a firearm, nor did I ever want to, until now. Just after the first of the year I picked up a new Citadel Boss 25 semi-automatic 12ga shotgun for home defense. I decided to break it down, clean it, and oil it before shooting, but I can't get it completely broken down. The instructions that came with it are very basic...I've attached them as a pdf. I'm ok up to step 10, where it says to remove the charging handle by pulling it. But I can't get it to budge. I've tried compressing the spring as I pull on it, but I never feel a spot where it feels like it wants to move. Can someone help me out with this? I must be missing something.

Thanks,
Rich

What does that mean? Can it not be removed?? If so, I’d strongly consider returning mine as well. If it can be removed I’d still hang on to mine as I do enjoy it. I just want to be able to clean it and maintain it properly.
Well, I asked how to remove it and they said to unscrew the shroud as in step 3 and then just pull up on the hand guard. It didn’t work that way for me. I think you have to pry it off and I didn’t want to damage it.

Ew. That doesn’t sound fun. Still waiting on my email back from them. With mine being the flag motif model I could see chipped paint occurring very easily there.

I received a reply. Pretty much the same response. The handguard should come right off. It seemed pretty stuck on there to me and would not budge. But she did send a video link and I’ll give it a spin tonight with maybe something plastic that won’t scratch the paint up (hopefully).
Update: I did manage to get the handguard loose without prying. It took more muscle than I anticipated it might, but the email was correct in that it came right off. Hope this helps for anyone who might be in the same predicament.
Anyone happen to know what type of swivel mount I might try to find for the stock? A bit novice and not sure. Thanks!

On the Panzer Arms AR-12 Gen-4 to pull out the charging handle you need to pull the charging handle all the way back which will allow you to flip the lever located on the left side perpendicular. Only then can you pull out the charging handle.
I have a different problem. The screws in step 4 are not on my gun! See pics. I just got it today and was going to disassemble and lube it for first use and I’m baffled. Anyone have any ideas or should I just take it back? View attachment 124033 View attachment 124034

I still cannot figure out how to remove mine. Mine does not have the two pins to remove. Is there another lever or take-down pin I need to action before trying to remove the handguards?
