New build planning

I have started the process for a new AR build. I'm starting with an Anderson Multi cal stripped aluminum lower. Planning to finish it with a PSA lower + Trigger Kit: https://palmettostatearmory.com/gei...sa-ar-15-moe-lower-build-kit-without-fcg.html

Then add a complete upper from Luth-AR : Luth-AR 24" Bull Barrel Complete Upper Barrel Assembly | Luth-AR

The end product will be a 24" SS fluted .223 1/9 using a 3.5' two stage trigger. I'm thinking of mounting AGM Thermal scope: AGM Global Vision Rattler TS19-256 19mm Thermal Imaging Rifle Scope 3143855003RA91, Color: Black, 50% Off, Free Gift w/ Free S&H

I would love to mount a Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XP50 Pro but I'm not a rich man ;)

Going to use it for night pig & coyote hunting.

Anyone have any experience with Luth-AR products?

Are going to use a tripod? Just my opinion but a 24” bull barrel is gonna be heavy for an old guy carrying around all night.
Good luck with your build.
Yes, already have one and I‘m a big user of a trigger stick. I currently haul around a Savage 12v with a 26” bull barrel.

Well the build just might get put on the back burner so I can buy the AGM scope and put it on an existing gun. More soon……

Progress. Turkey season has been really good to me and there are still at least 3 more hunts in the hopper. Lower will be complete tomorrow with the delivery of the butt stock. The JARD 3' ARJ trigger is sweet. The upper I want is not available right now (I'm told soon by Luth-AR) so I will spend my time looking at Thermal scopes. Pics tomorrw of the completed lower.

Well some progress. Actually it should be finished. A friend gave me a buffer tube. Turns out it’s a commercial version which is 2 mils thicker than a mil-spec so my stock did not fit. Will have a new mil-spec tube later this week. Hope to be able to shoot the following week. The scope is a Simmons that came off my .243. It will work for now.

Well Turkey season is done at least for me. Killed three pigs in the last three days, fun! The build is finished. The overall weight of the gun unloaded is ~8 lbs. Will be shooting it Wednesday to see how it handels my current 62 Gr bullets and I'm going to load up some 55 gn just to see how it like those. Also will shoot some Barnes 62 TSX.

Maybe you can consider a 224 Valkyrie upper build, if you really want to reach out and touch someone.
I only want to get out to 400 yds. My savage 12v does that fine but the bolt slows me down when I have a group of pigs. I shot 3 the last three mornings but could have killed more with the new rifle.
Ok, got out today an got to put 30 rounds through it at 100 yrds. Considering it's still in break-in I think it did pretty good. Going again next week and try a verity of different bullets. The black are the first 20 and then the last then. Got a little heavy on the right adjustment :(
