Our outdoor range is nice and all, but what with the sweltering heat, it's tough. The activity areas are tin-covered and the heat radiates right into my sweat glands.

I mean, my hands get sweaty to the point of losing grip.

Gonna wait until we get a cool spell. What I'm doing is getting out of the car, putting a target out there (I'm retired and go during non-peak hours and the range is cold) and then I pull my EDC from holster and, Blam! Blam! Blam! ... till my hollow points are gone from both mags and then I load up the mags, go +1 and I'm like, outa there.

I'm a wuss now that I'm old.

handguns and rifles give me the satisfaction of precision.....in control.....achievement......

a shotgun gives me the satisfaction of "all-business" and my idea of the "big stick"........

bring out the 12 ga slugs and the Ming the Merciless starts to appear.........

So I got sick and tired of hearing that rattling noise in my passenger door so I opened it up to see what the problem was I forgot that I spilled an entire container a 45 ACP all in the truck when I went to the range a couple weeks ago I thought I got it all up I gues not! LOL

I really can live day and night at the range. Its good for the nerves. My best business plans come into my mind while shooting. A day without rattling away makes me an awfull person for all people around me.

Last time I went to the range I just brought the Sig 226... Mistake It was fun, at least half a case but I missed the beast. Next time which shouldn't be long is going to be the 2 wheel guns 357 to warm up then a little satisfaction with at least 3 of 4 cylinders of 460 I love to feel the heat on my forearms and finishing up with 50 rounds of 454 . Going back home I will probably feel my palm throbbing for a few miles but I will be a smiling driver.

As I've mentioned, I have had bone spur surgery on both shoulders. I'm shooting my 9mm EDC, a Glock 42 .380 backup EDC, and occasionally having lots of fun trying to be precise with an SR22 on normal range trips.

After range time of an hour or so, my shoulders hurt, but they bounce back by the time I get home.

^^^ My range sessions feel like when I was younger and played catch with a friend it started smooth and friendly and by the time we started to sweat we were throwing our cannon balls, I can still remember the sound when the baseball hit the hand part instead of the basket OWWW!. My hand feels like that when I put the guns back in the trunk but it's all good and gone by the time I get home I love recoil lol

Edit: And I'm enjoying it while I can lol
By that I mean that not too long ago I used to spend summer barefoot in the house, now it seems that I've lost the whole part that cushion my bones under there when I don't have shoes on, it hurts like hell.
