I have been carrying daily for the last four years a Seecamp LWS .32 ACP in a Galco push-up holster as the one above depicted.
I place the holster next to mid line. The clip rests not on the belt itself, but rather on the pants, which makes the back strap sit unobtrusively about 1/2 inch below the belt. It feels quite comfortable carrying in this way.
I have always seen it as if you can hit your target, it dont really matter what you carry, if you feel comfortable. I decided that its better to carry a 9 and up when I realized I might not ALWAYS hit my target. Like you, compitition shooter, should feel rather comfortable carrying a lower caliber. You have a rather above average accuracy.
