So recently picked up my Mossberg 835. I love the gun but hate the sights the rear sight is all over the place. I recently bought a Mount to put a red dot on it just waiting fo the red dot to come in. So my question is, How do i remove the sights that are currently on it? no reason to have a rattling sight when my red dot comes in. It kind of looks like i need to drill rivets out. Thanks every one. Also Does any one know where i can order the LPA trigger assembly? And a tactical/sliding stock (so my wife can fire the gun)? Thanks again.

Yup. Two rivets must be removed. Keep shooting your gun and they will break thus eliminating the need to drill.

Well that's sad to hear. I will be drilling them as soon as my TruGlo comes in. Thanks for the verification. How about the other questions? Thanks again for the fast reply.

I gather that you're talking about the slug barrel for the 835? I had the 28 vent rib back bored barrel on my 835 with two beads for sites.

Mike Weber, No the fiber optic sights 2 rear green one front orange i believe. The rear sight moves all over the place and i can't have that. So i am removing it this weekend. :)

Mine was an earlier model 835, it had conventional beads and it was an earlier model than yours. Mossberg must have made some changes. My 835 was great for waterfowl and turkey lots of punch and patterned beautifully.

I had the older one as well originally. Then i got shipped to Hawaii for 3 yrs and didn't want the hassle of registering guns so i sold it. As soon as i got back not even a week later i bought the new one. Still trying to find an lpa trigger for it but love it so far.

Status update they slide right off. LOL no drilling required. I did how ever when i took it off repair the shaky sights by using a flat faced punch to crush the rivets a little more. Now those sights are nice and secured. But i have my red dot on so oh well. LOL
