Man kills own driver in driveby

Sadly another pillar of the community, registered gun owner, NRA member and all around good guy veers off his good path for just a moment and does something bad.....

Park Manor, IL—Who knows what thugs are thinking whey they decide to drive by their enemies and shoot at them?
We’d wager they aren’t thinking very much at all, and this case illustrates the sad point.

Matthew Gibson, 26, was killed after he was shot by his own passenger on Sunday, July 28, 2019.
Gibson was pronounced dead at Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn after a drive-by shooting in the South Side.
Gibson was allegedly shot by his own passenger, Jake Lee, 27, of Engelwood.
Prosecutors said that Gibson was driving a vehicle with Jake Lee in it around 5:40 in the morning near the first block of West 71[SUP]st[/SUP] st.
Their vehicle pulled alongside a white SUV that was waiting to turn left.
Lee, seated in the passenger seat, began to fire across Gibson’s body with a .40 caliber handgun.
That’s when police say he accidentally shot his own driver in the head.
Gibson was able to drive himself more than two miles after being shot in the head but was listed as brain dead by the hospital on Monday.
A 22-year-old man in the white SUV was also wounded, and police say that surveillance footage doesn’t show any shots coming from the white SUV.

Jake Lee will face a murder charge for the death of his friend. Police records say that he was paroled on April 21[SUP]st[/SUP] after spending 8 years in prison for aggravated battery with a handgun.

Thugs like these are already notoriously bad shots…why would you think adding a moving vehicle to the job would make it easier? But shooting from a moving vehicle across the body of your own friend?
We’ve heard all kinds of stupid, but this takes the cake.

This is the part of the story that should make everyone mad. " Police records say that he was paroled on April 21[SUP]st[/SUP] after spending 8 years in prison for aggravated battery with a handgun.". Recidivism rates are through the roof with violent offenders and we just keep letting them out and claim we have a gun problem......

Wow, now I have heard it all.
Thank God these scum are bad shots.
I shudder to think what the murder rate would be in these cities if they were trained.
Karmas a b***h
Why they just need to wall off certain sections of these cities, ala Escape from New York, and let them have at it. Last one standing wins
What's the deal with the first line saying he was a registered gun owner and stuff? Sarcasm? Truth? Fiction?

Pure unadulterated 100% BS sarcasm.

Felon with a gun=25 year mandatory with no early out plus the sentence for the crime with the use of a gun with no early out. Benn trying to get this to pass in Legislation for 20 years and all they say is we can;t keep the lockup for that long---costs to much!!

Or this by Liberal DAs.

\Why a quick and public execution would be a better route for these thugs. Erect a gallows in the town square or city park, sell tickets, have food trucks and bands and make it a party - just like the old days. Maybe if some of the young punks who haven't yet graduated to serious crime saw a few of those, they might think twice.
