Here is a messed up read.

All 50 U.S. states have specific rules to regulate guns that vary greatly, from Stand Your Ground laws to the right to carry a concealed firearm.
To seek out 50 facts about guns in America, Stacker gathered information from scientific, government, and news reports.

Notable sources include Pew Research Center, a Washington D.C. nonpartisan fact tank, the Los Angeles Times, and Gun Violence Archive, a database that reviews up to 7,500 daily sources that report firearm assaults.
Facts about the history of guns, landmark legislation, contributions to conservation, and statistics on gun use in America are included, among others.

Research shows demographically that where there are fewer gun laws, there tend to be more firearm deaths per capita.
Alabama and Mississippi, states with some of the least restrictive laws in the country, have a firearm mortality rate seven times that of Massachusetts, where guns are heavily legislated.
Along with restrictions in gun laws, widespread panic dictated gun ownership and purchases in 2020.
The COVID-19 pandemic brought record-shattering numbers for federal background checks, with 3.7 million performed in June alone, the most in more than 20 years.

I voted twice for Rubio here in Florida, If I am not mistaken, he is for re-election on 2022, I will think twice about voting for him again.
On the other hand, I will not vote for a Socialist, if the only choice available are voting for a gun grabber Socialist DemocRAT and gun grabbing Rubio, I may have to pinch my nose and vote for Rubio..

OH, does this mean Biden's also going to DESCRIBE WHAT "COMMON SENSE GUN LAWS" are, too?

I hear a lot of air being pushed around, with the buzz phrase "Common Sense Gun Laws", and in the past 5 YEARS, NO ONE, NOT A ONE, HAS BEEN ABLE TO ACTUALLY GIVE ME ANY DETAILS, ON WHAT A "COMMON SENSE GUN LAW" ACTUALLY CONTAINS.

NEVER. ONCE. YET.

. . . well, WE'RE WAITING . . .

They -- being the anti-gunners do it all the time. Let me list some:

No one needs weapons of war and assault rifles should be banned.

You don't need 'clips' that hold more than 10 rounds for hunting or target shooting.

They claim that the majority of gun owners agree and think we should have common sense universal background checks.

Waiting periods save lives.

We need to close the gun show loophole.

Guns should be removed from dangerous individuals and households

Gun locks and safe storage should be required to keep kids safe..

There is no need to buy more than one gun a month.

An oldie but a goodie -- There is no need for cop killer bullets and they should be outlawed.

All this, and more, is claimed to be common sense that should be adhered to. That's all I could think of right now at one sitting. All this is for the safety of our children and society. How could anyone that wants safety disagree with these common sense laws?

It makes plenty of common sense to those wanting to enslave the citizens of the United States.

Guess I failed high school civics, so here is my question:

When does the SCOTUS start to tell the idiot @ 1600 that he's gone too far?

I slept through the course too but I cheated off the smart kid next to me. The SCOTUS doesn't dictate policy. They try cases brought before them. A case would have to be filed and lost then an appeal filed to a higher court. The process would continue until it gets to the highest court in the land. That is if they decide to take it up and rule on it by the merits of the case. Assuming of course the litigant bringing it up before the court has proper standing.

So 1600 says give up your guns (in violation of 2A and state laws). Someone has to sue. They lose, try the case at next level. They lose. Repeat until it gets to SCOTUS -- then they get their turn? Four years has gone by and where are the guins (not in the lake for sure).

Most people don't have weapons of war, or assault rifles, they are inaccurate, expensive, and being "military grade" are rushed thru production, by the lowest bidder, on the contract. IF you had any "common sense" you should know this, since, as a politician, in government, you oversee military weapons procurement.

You don't need 'clips' that hold more than 10 rounds for hunting or target shooting.
Remember "...shall not be infringed." Notice the period, at the end of the sentence?

They claim that the majority of gun owners agree and think we should have common sense universal background checks.
No, they don't agree.

Waiting periods save lives.
We already have waiting periods. Not that they have any effect on people who shouldn't have guns getting a firearm, anyway

We need to close the gun show loophole.
Want some "Common sense"? This is a "loophole" which does not exist.

Guns should be removed from dangerous individuals and households
Once again, we already have (largely unenforced) laws for that.
Gun locks and safe storage should be required to keep kids safe..
A gun lock is sold with every firearm. If you don't keep your kids safe from firearms with safety training, at a young age, you are not a gun owner.

There is no need to buy more than one gun a month.
Need aside, the people who can afford to buy more than one gun a month also
blithely sidestep legal parameters, such as this. See "Elites"

An oldie but a goodie -- There is no need for cop killer bullets and they should be outlawed.
Are you referring to Safety Ammo ?

All this, and more, is claimed to be common sense that should be adhered to. That's all I could think of right now at one sitting. All this is for the safety of our children and society. How could anyone that wants safety disagree with these common sense laws?
Well, first and foremost, all of these provisions, as usual, limit, and hogtie the Law Abiding Gun Owner, and as usual, ABSOLUTELY ZERO
to address violent gangs, criminals with firearms, or mass shooters.

You want "Common Sense Gun Control" ?

That's great.

Show me a piece of legislation which will disarm gangs and drug dealers.

its a distraction.....

diverting attention away from his lack of progress with covid and the rough economy and the mounting troubles overseas.....

a new crisis that supersede other areas to distract the media and the masses that shows he is a man of action "for the children"......while hiding his inactions and failures.....

so much for "unity".....

expect the dangers of insurrection card to be thrown in....

The United States may wind up surviving the next 4 years, but it is going to be a long and painful ride.

I'd like to see a politician explain how more gun control laws will stop criminals from getting guns. Many years ago, in a neighboring state, a group of criminals drove a truck through the front window of a gun shop in the middle of the night, and drove off with dozens and dozens of guns. I'm sure that more gun control laws would have prevented that, right?

If those guns weren't there to be stolen, there would be no problem, right? The plan is to take our gun first, shut down the sale manufacture and sale of guns, then when the get a criminals gun, or the gun breaks, they can't get a replacement. We are the first step.
